    No one likes a bully.

Why won't my avatar show up? What the fuck?

  2. 2

How cares , it's going to lose.

  3. 3

Who gives a shit about this??
Gay…..straight……LET THEM GET MARRIED!!! People are people no matter who they're with!!!

  4. 4

    1st?

  5. 5

    That's gay.

  6. 6

Proposition 8 is a constitutional amendment that would overturn the state Supreme Court ruling authorizing same-sex marriages. It was supported by 44 percent of the more than 1,100 likely voters questioned by the Public Policy Institute earlier this month. Fifty-two percent opposed it.

  7. 7

Disgusting is right. That's sounds like extortion. Fuck 'em I say…

  8. 8

    gay.

  10. 10

    I think you'll be surprised when prop 8 passes…

    Re: Big Black Dick

    how your ball gravy?

  12. 12

    pathetic.

  13. 13

I admire what you are doing Perez, and my full support is behind you and this cause, but you might want to also bring up another important proposition that will be voted upon in California in November. The proposition will give farm animals some basic rights, such as the ability to turn around and stand up in their cages, and has much opposition believe it or not. Please spread the word!

  14. 14

Let them publish the names..like it said in the article, if they're giving them money then they obviously aren't worried about people knowing. If any company gives the other group money now, then the last contribution doesn't mean a thing. You can't just change your mind like that, either you believe it or you dont.

  15. 15

oh my fucking god. If people are so hellbent on protecting the sanctity of marriage maybe they should focus on saving their own. Then maybe the divorce rate wouldn't be so high. Believe it or not there is (well, supposed to be) such a thing as seperation of church and state, and where your beliefs fall have not a fucking thing to do with where a gays rights fall. These are human people, who deserve basic fucking rights, and the fact that they are threatening to "expose" businesses for recognizing that basic right just means they're a bunch of pussies who know they're getting their ass kicked in this election. All you homo hating fucktards can suck my asshole, if there is a God he'll be damn sure you get what's coming to you in the next life.

  16. 16

Wow. That is pathetic. Good luck californians!

    OHIO FOR OBAMA!!

  17. 17

    GAY MARRIAGE IS DISGUSTING PEREZ!!!

  18. 18

Re: Jenafreaka – well said! I'm glad someone brought this to attention. I know Perez is all for gay equality, but we need to look out for the animals too!

  19. 19

I am so sick of these people and their private agendas to get ahead and make $$$…. Let people do what they please why make everything so complicated… I am sick of people making life difficult for everyone else cause they follow the Bible… Politics and religion should never mix… By being hurtful to others u are being a hypocrite to what u believe in…

  20. 20

Re: lauris – IT'S WRONG PERIOD.

  21. 21

    Re: mama of 2
HI MAMA, did you hear about the obama supporter in pennslyvania
that cut a B into a girl's face at an ATM coz she was a McCain supporter? He also punched her in the eye. Watch the Daily Buzz.tv and you will see a picture of her face. Where is Letty?Re: Big Black Dick – morning bbd.Re: FuckinFurbyFuckinaFuckwadFucknutFU – what's your new picture?

  22. 22

Who are you gonna marry, Big P?

  23. 23

Sounds like Blackmailing is the only way they can win. That would be the same as contacting somebody who was voting for somebody and telling them that you were going to tell all their bosses, who liked the other candidate, that they voted for the other guy. This should spark an investigation.

  24. 24

Re: SheriMoonZombie – You said "HI MAMA, did you hear about the obama supporter in pennslyvania
that cut a B into a girl's face at an ATM coz she was a McCain supporter? "

    ________________________________________________________________

the only problem is, the B on her face was backwards…you know, the way it would be put on if you were doing it in a mirror?

  25. 25

Perez, you'd be the first person to endorse this if it were publicizing businesses that donated to the PRO proposition 8 cause. You'd say, yeah, "out" the bastards, and boycott their businesses.

I think it's fine to publicize the names. People who are against Prop 8 will then patronize those businesses, which are probably gay-friendly in the first place.

  26. 26

You know what pisses me off? On Good Day LA this morning they are talking about how some CA teachers are mad because the schools used their union dues money for ads against prop 8. That money could've been used for a hell of a lot better things than No on Prop 8 ads. Seriously, people SHOULD by now know if they are voting yes or no on this issue, most of it is because of personal or religious beliefs. The schools are so lacking in CA to include some of the teachers that could be better educated. I mean come on, schools here cry out for donations for classrooms, ie, printer paper, kleenex, hand sanitizer, all these things should be provided for them (not that I mind donating) and they are spending all this money on these ads. Most of you people posting here about the Prop 8 bullshit probably don't even live in CA! I don't understand why the schools have to get involved since "supposedly" they aren't going to teach gay marriage in school? Personally, I don't feel that ANY type of marriage should be taught in the schools. There are too many kids who come from one parent homes and they are being more ostracized than anyone! They say it's not going to be taught, but if a kid asks about it, the teacher has to address it.

  27. 27

    Re: Jenafreaka – #13
All you nut jobs don't have a clue what a "right" is in reality. You twist and distort the constitution to fit your idea of reality and now this is what you have. This is again the result of a pathetic public education system that has indoctrinated you to believe that everything that you want to do is a Right. Now you'll have the Constitution changed to …. all men and barnyard animals are created equal. Where does it end?!

  28. 28

I think we should boycott business that donate money in support of prop 8!

  29. 29

Vote Yes on Prop 8. POWER TO THE PEOPLE!!!

  30. 30

    Re: Spindoc – fishy….that girl is a liar….and a moron

  31. 31

Fuck…Whats it matter if your married?
Does it change how your breath smells after you suck that dick fag?
It was so nice when these fags were afraid to say they were shit eatters!
    SAY NO TO FAG MARRIAGE!

  32. 32

You know, the things that gets me about all this is that people think homosexuality corrupts children. As far as society goes, that's so far down on the list of things that fuck up kids.
Call me crazy, but I worry more about bullies (hey, like that organization!), depression, and drugs. Silly little things like that.

  33. 33

    SAY NO TO FAG MARRIAGE!

  34. 34

    Re: Fendi Larue
yes! thank you, i completely agree! if marriage was so sacred, then why do we allow people to get divorced so easily?? People get married in Vegas and they divorce 5 days later, they take it for granted. And i also support Prop 2! I just cant understand why ANYONE would want to vote no on prop 2…

    Yes on Prop 2!
    No on Prop 8!

  35. Dabid says – reply to this

    35

Why not also report the complete truth in that Teacher Union money went to support no of Prop 8?

Again, this was in RESPONSE to the DAMAGE DONE to BUSINESSES that SUPPORTED Prop 8. Why not tell the truth Perez? It seems both sides are intolerate of one another though the media prefers to pretend only one side is intolerate.

Also the Superintendent of schools is a liar in that sex education does discuss Marriage.

  36. 36

    Re: HoneyLatina
    you need more education…

  37. 37

Gross…absolutely gross, it's hard to believe some people can be so hateful. Most of them call themselves religious, I'm pretty sure God would bitch-slap them for doing this. NO ON PROPOSITION HATE!!!

  38. 38

I'd be proud if my name and business were published for supporting gay rights! What a stupid threat! Sick, self-righteous jerks!

  39. 39

Re: HoneyLatina – Can we keep really STUPID comments like these to ourselves, people?

  40. 40

to "Dirty Dee" go Fuck yourself! gay people getting married has NOTHING to do with anyone else. nothing. as long as people aren't hurting anyone else, they should be able to do whatever they want. people are so fucking ignorant it makes me sick to my stomach. fucking red neck, republican assholes who think everything fits into a black and white category in life. fucking psycho religious bitches who actually think that Adam and Eve were real and the bible wasn't just written by a bunch of idiots who wanted to make everyone into what they thought was right.
I am so sick of these ignorant assholes who have nothing better to do than forget what they suck at and have failed at in life and go after people who are "different" than them.

  41. 41

If anyone wonders why I am so angry…. it is this kind of mind set and manipulation that just gets me cursing at every right wing republican I come in contact with!
Wrong, I know. Generalization is wrong. LIES ARE WRONG! FEAR TACTICS ARE WRONG! FUCK!
    .
    NO ON 8!
    .
    VOTE FOR CHANGE!
    .
    OBAMA/BIDEN!
    .
FOR THE LOVE OF GOD AND OUR COUNTRY!

  42. 42

Ok this does it for me. I'm a 52 year old hetero woman who's been trying to stick my fingers in my ears because this election? bah! But now I'm going to have to go online, donate to the No on 8 campaign and really? really? Blackmail. what the fuck. I could be watchin Oprah you know?

  43. 43

Re: HoneyLatina – You Go HoneyLatina. Yes!!!

  44. 44

Pathetic. Marriage should be for everyone.

  45. 45

Yeah, that is pretty disgusting. It's like they're going to get a group of people together to threaten to boycott the establishments. Wait, are we talking about GLADD or those against gay marriage? Because they both use bully tactics.

  46. maryc says – reply to this

    46

I hope they publish the names so that I can patronize the business that give to No to H8te. I's also like to know who to boycott, those who have given to Yes on 8.

Also, let's all boycott Fox. The Granddaddy of HATE

  47. SoCal says – reply to this

    47

Nothing wrong with it. It's basically saying "you gave to the no on 8 group. If you don't give to us, we have noc choice to point out that you are pro-gay marriage." Where's the problem?

  48. SoCal says – reply to this

    48

Re: pammie1 – Hey pammie, hope you like your kidas and grandkids being forced to learn about gay sex in school. Why do you think the teacher's union gave a million bucks to no on 8?

  49. 49

    Re: SoCal

Um, idiot, that is the definition of blackmail "If you don't give me money I will do this" Try reading a law book once in a while dumb-ass.

  50. 50

This is the decade of the threats and blame. Certain people, instead of just giving their view, give it with a threat. Look how people in hollywood are afraid to get out and support anyone that is not a democrat. They are threatened with blackballing them. And if people aren't threatening, they are blaming. According to congress and investment houses, Alan Greenspan is the reason we are in this economic place. All because of him, no one else is to blame-not the congressmen that get support from banking lobbyists and certainly not executives with golden parachutes or companies like AIG who insist that they must meet at spas. As another poster wrote-if these companies supports no on prop 8, they will not mind their names out there. I think that it is their way of trying to get funding. Ridiculous if anyone does it, because they would be doing the same good if they did not donate anything. And Perez, you have to let people have their opinions, even if they are against gay marriage and republicans. You might be doing more harm than good by trying to show the other side is racist, stupid, etc. 95 % of the people have probably made up their minds on the prop. Ads are not going to change it, you can only encourage your supporters to get out and vote.

  51. 51

Interesting that the MORMONS in UTAH are behind this. Don't let someone else run your state, Californians!

  52. 52

    Re: grampah
First of all, no one is talking about changing the Constitution, and I am not so sure that you know exactly what exactly is in the Constitution and what it is used for. That being said, Proposition 2, like I said before, allows farm animals raised for food the ability to stand, and the ability to turn around in their cages. If you oppose that I have no need to argue with you further. Most of the public, regardless of if they eat meat or not, do in fact care about how animals are treated and do want animals to have these "basic rights." Most people have the wrong idea that animals raised for food wander in open fields, and live nice lives up until the time comes for them to be killed. That couldn't be any further from the truth, and the public has a right to know.

On the topic of gay marriage, the Constitution of the United States of America does not define marriage between a man and a women, that is a vast misunderstanding. In this country we have yet to add onto our Constitution a way to take the rights away from a specific group or person. It is simply not American.

  53. 53

I still don't understand why people are so opposed to gay marriage. It's a bad influence on their children? WTF, that is wrong for two reasons, 1- If it an influence and not a part of who you are then you as a parent should be able to steer them away from homosexuality, right? 2- How do you think this is making children who are questioning their sexuality feel? Probably like they are horrible people… maybe the people who created that website are the bad influences, promoting discrimination.

  54. 54

Damn, what's going on in Cali????? That's some fucked up shit right there!!

  55. 55

HAHAHHAHA the irony! Like the gays NEVER EVER EVER make threats to get their way?

  56. 56

Give me a break! This is sickning!

  57. 57

    Re: Jenafreaka
NO on 8- All men created equal
NO on 2! - They are FOOD, not Pets & do not need basic rights, they need BBQ sauce.

  58. 58

See? This is the oppression I'm talking about, and this is blackmail also, we used to have freedom of speech here, now you get blackmailed for contributing to your cause,or you are threatened, they will ruin you, etc. Since Bush has been in office,we have lost our rights to freedom of speech, now they are blackmailing & bullying to get what they want, this illegal! So,do you still want these people in office? Vote to keep them out, vote Democrat and you will see the change, and see how oppressed we have all been. Republicans are bullies & oppressors,Fuck that shit!

  59. 59

Re: ValPal – i think your the one who needs education-try church.

  60. 60

i wont support any businesses that are supporting the legalisation of an a abominable sin.

  61. 61

Re: Big Black Dick – Don't give in to them sweetie, they use oppression, don't let them win, there is a way- by fighting them, it is out right blackmail, which is a crime, but they will get away with it if we don't get a Democratic Government.

  62. 62

Re: smg825 – religious ppl probably have a much better idea of who God is than you do.

  63. 63

Re: libgirl – exactly what does it matter if theyre published they SHOULD be proud of what theyre supporting & not hidin in the dark.

  64. 64

Re: Stacey Lover – you define ignorance!. sin is a disease and infects the person engaging in it and also the ppl around them -and community. so yes it IS affecting and INfecting us ALL!.

  65. 65

That absolutely IS extortion!! Pay me this or I will tell people that. I'm suprised no one has taken legal action against them… yet.

  66. 66

    Re: ValPal
Do you have any idea what prop 2 will do to the prices on eggs, chicken and what ever other food this stupid ass proposition deals with. Poor Farmer Joe is gonna have to chase down mr. clucks rather than just reach in a cage & grab it to kill it. Have you ever chased a chicken? Time = Money honey.

  67. 67

The republican party, nazis, KKK have hijaked the Bible, they have twisted it around to oppress and hurt.Yes it is true God is against gay marriage, but he is also against blackmail, oppression, prejudice, murder, lying, terrorism, dissention & strife. He hates it the most when we hurt each other.

  68. 68

Re: sweetpiece – what makes you think its only republicans against voting legalising sin [gay marriage] i support obama all the way and i support yes on prop8. because i support freedom. sin is not freedom it is bondage. freedom isnt about making all your own rules its about living within the guidelines of whats right. -[the law]. thats why ppl go to jail when they break it [which equals zero freedom].

  69. 69

    Barff!

  70. 70

Re: Camden – You christians can't think for yourselves can you?? You call it sin, I call it life, love and freedom! Maybe you call it a sin because that's something you'll never have! Peace out!

  71. 71

    Re: Camden
    try church?
I've been going to church every Sunday since i was 5.
I went to catholic school for 8 years…
I dont think God would have wanted us to discriminate against ANYONE.

  72. 72

    Re: Mrs_Fish-Head
Didnt you hear that they were already fixing prices higher than what there supposed to be? and that those farms are being investigated?
Prop 2 had nothing to do with that. So it was bound to happen anyways.

  73. 73

    Re: HoneyLatina – Ewww……bitch!

  74. 74

GOOD - the people who help to break down the very fabric of this country should be listed in every paper in every city, town and county!

What's disguisting is Gays insisting on 'MARRIAGE'

  75. 75

    Re: Mrs_Fish-Head
Clearly you are a dumbass. I really cannot help but to laugh in spite of how serious this issue really is. It is people like you that give the U.S. such a terrible redneck reputation. Proposition 2 does not give chickens the right to run free, it gives them the ability to STAND or TURN AROUND in their CAGE! Am I speaking english here? Also, allowing a cow or chicken to "run free" as you say, does not mean that the price of eggs or meat will go up. It is what the animals are fed that cause the price to go up, which is really up to you and whether or not you care about your health and family enough to pay $.20 more for a dozen eggs. You are not realizing the damage that factory farming has on your health or to our planet, the hormones have been linked to children starting puberty at the age of 5, and antibiotic resistance. You are what you eat, and you do have a choice of where your food comes from, so stop playing the victim and maybe try doing something about it. You can claim you do not care about animals, but you really have no idea what it takes to get your cheeseburger to your lard ass, and regardless of what you think you might know, you have no idea. So go grab another cheeseburger Betty Sue, you have a good 5 years until your heart attack is due.

  76. 76

GOOD - the people who help to break down the very fabric of this country should be listed in every paper in every city, town and county!

What's disguisting is Gays insisting on 'MARRIAGE'

EVERYTIME I WRITE SOMETHING PEREZ DOESN'T LIKE - MY POSTINGS DISAPPEAR. This is how the main stream media works… funny thats the only main stream thing on this site.

    77

Re: HoneyLatina – You have clear anger issues. It's not uncommon to women of your ethnicity who are around your age group. Latin women are usually undereducated and usually come from lower household income. It's not really your fault however. The system is poorly designed when you do not fit into the white heterosexual male majority who is currently in power.

What I can say is this: How would you feel if someone called you a slutty spic, a dumb uneducated twat who's going to pop babies in order to receive social assistance?

All stereotypes. I know that they are not true. But it still hurts. Moral of the story: stop your hate. Many people already hate and judge you for who you are. Promoting this type of sick behavior is not helping anyone. You can be opposed to gay marriage, but a certain decorum would be appreciated instead of your foul mouth.

    Just sayin'

  78. 78

GOD MADE ADAM AND EVE NOT ADAM AND STEVE YOU IDIOT.

  79. 79

    Re: Jenafreaka
WOW, Such passion for animals. Animals that will inevitably end up on someone’s dinner table. So much passion that you would in-fact attack a person you know nothing about so fiercely. Not just attacking my OPINION but my intelligence, upbringing, and physical appearance. All of which you know nothing about. With such passion one might think you were fucking said animals. Oh wait, Are you? Later beastie. :)

  80. 80

    Re: PLO

LOL you gave it to her good.

Im latino as well (although Im from a secular country, Uruguay, where gay marriage is LEGAL like in canada, first latin country to do so!) and Im ashamed for her behavior, looking at her pic she must be from the caribbean, mexico or or some other ignorant, extreme place like that, she's fat, dark skinned and extemely ignorant, maybe from dominican republic?

  81. 81

  84. 84

I hope the Yes on 8 group does publish the names of companies who donated funds to Equality California. I would like to be a customer of companies who support equality and having a handy list makes it SO MUCH EASIER!

    NO TO H8TE!

  85. 85

Re: SheriMoonZombie – Actually, there's reports all over today about that fact that she made that story up. ALso, if you look at the transcript of the police report, they clearly thought she was making it up when they arrived at the scene.

I think if you look at the tone of the 2 campaigns, it is clear who is deciding to run on a platform of hope with a smattering of criticism, and which campaign is running on a platform of fear and a smattering of reform. Which do you think is more likely to attack someone for their political support?

  86. 86

Re: SoCal – There is a HUGE, gaping difference between saying someone is 'pro-gay marriage' and 'ANTI-traditional marriage', which is what that letter states. And I think that goes to the heart of the different attitudes. No on 8 is about inclusiveness, everybody having the same rights and choices. Yes on 8 is about limiting them.

And I see a big argument for the Yes campaign is about how this poisons children's minds, and will lead to the destruction of the sanctity of marriage. Can I just point out that every gay child born into a hetero family will tell you that what you're told/brought up in/taught is NOT always what sticks. AND, gay marriage is not what will dissolve marriages in the U.S.A. It's called the divorce rate people. How can shotgun weddings and Vegas quickies be more respectful of that union than 2 people who have had to FIGHT for their relationship?

    Get a clue, folks…

  87. 87

Re: Camden – Just out of curiousity Camden, what clothing do you wear? Any big name brands? I guarantee you that you're supporting the cause, whether you know it or not. The fashion industry is a very pro-choice industry. You no longer going to go shopping? I think not.

  88. 88

Re: Camden – Can I ask how your opinion of sin as a 'disease' allows you to rationalise military? Or carrying a pig skin (ever played with a football)? Or people having to work on a Sunday? Or people carrying hate-filled placards to harrass lonely, scared and vulnerable women making what may be their most painful choice in life? Gee, what a ringing endorsement of Christian values THAT little gem is.

My point is, it seems to be a very selective process as to which sins are abhorant and which can be 'let slide'. Let he among us without sin be the first to condemn.

  89. 89

Re: Nerdy_homely_girl – Ummm, I mean, yay for your support of gay marriage, but your comments about other Latino countries is still prejudicial. How about coming back to MJK's statements about judging people on the contents of their character? AND I dislike seeing you use 'dark skinned' as a negative. Don't forget people, it isn't 1 set of discrimination we should be against, it's ALL of it.

Renee, a white, blonde hair, blue eyed Irish-Australian.

  90. 90

    Re: Reneesouflee
You are my new favorite person on here. Those few posts are something that I strongly agree with (as with most people on here it seems).
Now, to add to that. I think that while people with religious reasons have a right to oppose, they should also realize that this State (the nation for that matter) is a Democracy. It is thankfully not a Theocracy. A Christian family is in no danger of losing anything, nor will churches be sued if this proposition fails to pass. I don't think that the proponents can come up with better ways to get people to vote for this, other than fear and doubt. Fear that our children will be taught things they "shouldn't" be, and that people might be sued for what they believe in. Both of which are outright lies, and that is shameful.
I'm voting NO, because it is wrong to discriminate against people.

  91. PLO says – reply to this

    91

Re: Reneesouflee – I think that Nerdy_homely_ girl was just adding to the stereotypes that I came up with. What I got from it is that she was stating that even people with similar ethnicity but who are from different country can make stereotypes about each other. Therefore, one should not be so quick to judge/discriminate for they easily could be discriminated against.

I think that your blue eyes, white (…) comment was also very powerful in that sense. People should not discriminate for nobody is truly safe from discrimination.

  92. 92

  93. 93

Re: Azureus9 – Why thank you! My aim is to try and have some ACTUAL discourse about issues, not slinging mud. On issues where someone of the opposing view gives me a logical, factual and empassioned argument that I can't refute? I allow my opinion to be changed. That's called being a free-thinking citizen of the world, not brainwashed by whatever ideological/theological group is feeding me propaganda.

Also, I agree with you - people are completely within their right to feel differently than me on this issue. I feel that everyone is entitled to their own moral compass - just don't tell me I have to make my compass point the same way as yours.

    continued….

  94. 94

    Part deux….

The thing that gets me is that the whole attitude seems very hypocritical - an explanation (or rant? I don't know…) below.

Countries like the U.S, Australia, many countries of Europe allow people the freedom to think, believe and practice what is true to them. It is this very thing that is the centre of Al Quaeda et al's war on Western Democracies. Opposition to these values of democracy directly lead to events like Sept 11 and the Bali Bombings which no one really hears about in the Northern Hemisphere - a callous, heartless attack on a idyllic getaway where the tourism of the Aussies, Americans, Brits and Germans fuels the ENTIRE economy, resulting in 202 dead, mostly young Australians, and the obliteration of 2 well loved venues in Kuta. Now, of course, there is NO comparison between a Vote Yes on Prop 8 and these despicable acts - my point is that limiting people's freedoms never leads to good. I think the Christians of the Roman Empire would agree. For of course, once upon a time, Christianity was considered the 'scourge of mankind' to.

Re: PLO – Ah, entirely possible! By the time I read Nerdy Girl's post, I was already a little steamed. MAY have missed the sarcasm, hehe. Sorry Nerdy Girl, if I didn't read you correctly. I blame my sense of equality being offended!

I agree, I think the most powerful weapon in the arsenal against prejudice (in it's MANY shapes and sizes) is showing people how similar we all are. We all can be discriminated against - it may be that because I'm a blonde, Irish soprano that people think I'm a dumbass with no clue who gets angry and drinks Guinness like a fish and cannot read music (shout out to the musos!). Doesn't make it (completely :P ) true, and luckily, none of those things make any lasting effect on my life. Some others? Not so lucky.
