I pretty sure Nadine herself would call herself irish. she has an irish accent.
      Derry…not londonderry grrrr

anywayz personally the derry accent cuts me, its so annoying…im from northern ireland meself like.

      ps. jojo is a dumass

    6. 106

    7. 107

Re: perezmate – maybe if you learned how to spell & used the right form of "their" and "they're", people would actually give a fuck about what you're trying to say? Just a thought.

Re: Katsy – ha ha what the fuck ever and your right you are annoying

    9. 109

WHY IS EVERYBODY SO CONCERNED ABOUT PEOPLES GRAMMAR? WHAT THE FUCK,DOES IT MAKE PEOPLE FEEL SMART TO COMMENT ON IT OR IS IT THAT THEY ARE TOO STUPID TO HOLD AN ARGUMENT WITH WHAT WE ARE ACTUALLY TALKING ABOUT??????IM BAFFLED

    10. 110

      LOVE HER and Girls Aloud

    11. 111

ok this is how it is

      SHE IS IRISH
SHE SAYS IT HERSELF CHECK EVERY NTERVIEW SHES EVER DONE
SHE IS CATHOLIC REPUBLICAN OF IRELAND
WHOEVER IS SAYING SHE IS BRITISH IS LYING
OR IS IGNORANT AND UNEDUCATED ABOUT IRISH HISTORY
SHE HAS AN IRISH PASSPORT AND IS AN IRISH CITIZEN
AND SHE AND EVERY OTHER GOOD IRISH CATHOLIC WOULD BE DIGUSTED BY EVERYONE WHO SAYS DIFFERENT

ITS NOT THE FAULT OF SOME IRISH CATHOLIC REPUBLICANS THAT SOME LEFT OVER ENGLISH WHO TORTURED OUR COUNTRY DECIDED THEY WANT TO BE UNDER THE RULE OF BRITAIN WHICH SOME OF THE PEOPLE LIVING IN NORTHERN IRELAND ARE ONLY THOSE WHO WANT TO BE.

      THE END

    12. 112

She is from Derry, in Northern Ireland. I LOVE her accent. It's so funny yet cute in a way. Perez, you should have posted the second part of the interview where they ask her about her accent. She laughs it off. It's hilarious. Jonathan Ross made fun of her on his chat show because of her accent. He was interviewing them and started saying that he didnt understand a word she was saying. It was hilarious. And Im glad Nadine cleared up the whole SG vs GA fiasco. Like she said, its all about opinions when it comes to who is the worlds biggest girl group. I love Nadine Coyle….

    13. 113

Re: jojo123 – omg! so true. I cant believe people are fighting about where she belongs; Irish or Not Irish! lol. Perez, go and track her down and have her clear things up for us.

    14. 114

Ok, to everyone fighting about her accent. Go and watch the second part of this interview on youtube. Yes, there is a second part but Perez did not post it. The second part is like 7:23 seconds long. In it, she adresses her accent. At 2:40 into the interview, they ask her about her accent. The host start talking about how Nadine's accent has began to adapt here in America. She replies- "Well, If we wanna go back…The American accent actually started off in Ireland. So, if we're talking about that, they're copying me." So there. She claims it's an Irish accent. It's all cleared up now. Good night everyone!

    15. 115

Re: GirlsAloud – NICE ONE GOODNIGHT TO EVERYBODY FROM ME TOO HA HA HA HA

    16. 116

      I love Girls Aloud (:

    17. 117

So…………..she has a Northern Irish accent, which is the strongest and most identifiable of all the Irish accents……..it is unique and full of character. Have a listen to some of your home grown accents Perez before slagging someone else off !!!!!

    18. 118

it's a normal Northern Ireland accent at the beginning but in the middle it does go a little Clint Eastwood meets Gerry Adams!

    19. 119

Re: jojo123 – I thought the subject was Nadine Coyles accent and not the state of Northern Ireland.

    20. 120

Dear LOLZF……..who on earth are your talking for…………I am Irish and consider that anyone who happens to live in Northern Ireland can decide for themselves whether they are Irish or English, Nadine says she is Irish, end of story. Your comment is ignorant bullshit.

    21. 121

I am Irish and proud. Anyone who has lived in Northern Ireland through all the troubles has the right to decide whether they wish to be English or Irish citizens, it is their choice legally and morally. NOT some ignorant idiot on this website, so stop making such stupid comments.

    22. 122

Re: gypsyroselee – well shes from Derry…atleast she hasnt got a Ballymeana-HI accent! lol

    23. 123

Re: AussieShanShan – ITS NOT AN IRIH ACCENT…ITS A NORTHERN IRISH ACCENT! I HAVE ONE…BUT MINES NOT A STRONG AS THAT CAUSE IM NOT FROM DERRY

    24. 124

Re: carolinek – well obviously u are not aware of the history…its only ur opinion tht it shud have stayed as 1…personally im from the north and i count myself as irish (because we have dual nationality and we can have either an irish or british passport…it kind of depends on your religion-catholics call themselves irish…protestants call themselves british) but think of the state that N.Is education and health care would be in if it hadnt been technically part of the UK…its kind of bitter sweet

    25. 125

      Re: carolinek – doesnt make u less catholic…it makes u a brave one lol…ojoj

    26. 126

Your arguements are all ridiculous. Especially Lolzface. Not everyone in the Republic hates people from Northern Ireland. Nadine's Northern Irish and that's that. She's not British

    27. 127

A friend of mine grew up with her - same town, same schools, etc. Nadine's accent is different to my friend's - she appears to have picked up a bit of US (from her bf and time spent in the USA) and a bit of Northern English (the other girls are from Newcastle [Cheryl], Liverpool [Nicola] and the Manchester area [Kimberley and Sarah] I think). She was once friends with her, but now only has negative things to say about her, mainly that she's bitchy, shallow and superficial (I'm guessing Nadine was in the cool group and my chubby friend wasn't!)
Weirdly, another friend grew up round the corner from Cheryl (two adjacent council estates I think) in Newcastle, and has only good things to say about Cheryl and her family. Cheryl seems nice on the X Factor, but I still can't forget her court case when the band first started, when she had a fight with a bathroom attendant because she stole a lollipop thinking they were free, and ended up calling her a "black bitch" and punching her. That's just pure class.
My favourites are Kimberley and Nicola, the most normal ones. Sarah's the wild one.

    28. 128

      sounds like a texas accent

    29. 129

Re: audbod – Thats only because shes picking up an American accent! Her original accent is lovely.

    30. Aoifa says – reply to this

      130

Shes from Derry in Northern Ireland i think. Her accent is just very strong, but its a normal accent from here,

    31. 131

saw this interview this morning gotta say i love how she says perogative lol

    32. 132

      Re: lolzface

actually we are British, not English - don't get that confused!!!

I live in between Londonderry/Derry and Dungiven so find seeing Nadine from Girls Aloud and Eoghan from X Factor talking on TV just plain weird! You just don't expect to hear those accents on TV!! LOL

    33. 133

"She's from Ireland….But" But what?? is there somethin wrong with that? you have a lot of readers from ireland perez……low blow!

    34. 134

      Nadine is awesome.

    35. 135

Re: dayumhottie – shes from Londonderry. She went to my mate's school thats how i know

    36. 136

      Re: amies
It's not that "fake" You can't fake an accent like that.

    37. 137

Shes from NORTHERN Ireland, not Ireland, two different places Perez! & it's not a Belfast accent jlove1127 it's a Derry accent, which is on pretty much the other side of NORTHERN Ireland.

    38. 138

Re: jojo123 – it's the anniversary of the troubles, so don't chat shit about how great the ira are and have a bit of respect

    39. 139

Do you know what she's still Irish. Be it from the R.O.I or Northern. Its Ireland. So you can't say she aint' Irish dumbfucks.

    40. 140

      her accents rocks!

    41. 141

i read about this in the my local paper! and all the comments about her accent.
Well…FIRST OFF: shes from DERRY in NORTHERN IRELAND not 'londonderry' Also.. this accent isnt weird at all, espicially if ur from Northern Ireland too. I love Nadines accent, it may be strong, but its easy to listen too, in comparison to the english/scottish/welsh accent.

      PEACE

    42. 142

Erm Alyssa last time i checked Londonderry is Derry. Same place. Just abbrieviated! And Nadine's accent by far isn't that easy to comprehend. Maybe it is if you're Irish. But the amount of times I've been speaking to her and have been like sorry Nadine what =D She's still fucking awesome tho. x
