.
WHAT GIVES WITH THAT?
beautiful
Butt sex!
HEY PEREZ, you're just a LITTLE late on posting that trailer. I saw in months ago online as well as in the theater.
firsst!!
I CAN'T FREAKING WAIT
Go Australia! Hugh Jackman is beautiful, I can't want for this movie to come out!
FIRST
Luhrmann is my favourite one since Romeo + Juliet ! Of course I'm waiting for it !
*yawn.
Joaquin Phoenix Announces He wants you to vote YES on 8!!
.
.
.
Just like Obama and Biden want!!
i can't tell what this movie is supposed to be about. war? love? little kids who don't wear shirts and get taken away?
NIcole, Hugh, Baz…can't go wrong!!! Beautiful!!!
nicole kidman trying to play a young woman in love even though shes gotten a lil old for the part…. how original?
I can't wait!
Ugh It looks awful. Hugh looks good. Kidman's lips look horrible and I hate her fake ass breathy voice. Having to listen to that for three hours would make me puke. I hope this flops so badly it finishes her off for good. Then she can go live in Nashville and maybe try raising one of her kids herself for a change.
Re: poopdiddy2008 – what you need to do is start explaining voting yes on 8 is actually for gay marriage, get the stupid fucks all confused and scratching their heads! they'll go to the poll thinking yes is for it and tah-dah!!
Re: skichick –
do you know anything about history?
Re: cutieclunn –
who says she's supposed to be playing young?
they've paired her up with a man her own age…..
dear, you're being agist.
This actually looks pretty good…plus Baz Luhrman is amazing - Romeo and Juliet and Moulin Rouge were awesome!!
p.s. Re: poopdiddy2008 – you're a idiot
Re: crickets –
those are a lot of strong baseless words you're saying there.
chill.
Love Baz and Hugh. Kidman threw away whatever bankability she once had by botoxing her face to the point where she looks like she stepped out of Madame Tussaud's. She once had promise… now she ruins everything she's in. Age gracefully, Nicole!
Re: Cecily – apparently not as much as i thought. i'm not trying to be a smart-ass… i really have no idea what this film is about. i'd appreciate someone filling me in and i'm sure i'll feel like an idiot afterwards… but we all need that sometimes.
Kidman cant even pretend to be Australian anymore. that pretend high class Australian accent is awful. at least Hugh Jackman lives here and knows what Australians sound like.
If they had a better female role i may have gone to see it.
I dont get it. But Hugh Jackman is always fine to look at!
Another Nicole Kidman bomb. This chick cannot carry a film Well, except for Moulin Rouge.
And what is wrong with her lips? Why can't these actresses get good injections? I little discreet Botox and Restalyne is acceptable - but "a little" being the operative concept that Nicole Kidman fails to grasp. She looks like an older woman trying to look young. Disappointing!
AMAZING!!! I absolutely cannot wait.
Nicole's always best with an English aristo accent.
Re: asylumgirl –
She plays an upper-class British lady, moron.
It looks great! I bet it's long though, and I'll have to get up to pee at least twice!
Re: asylumgirl – Why just cos the movies called Australia do you assume her character is Australian? I think she's supposed to be one of the immigrants that settled in Australia after the war. I dont think Baz would want nicole speaking in a inappropriate accent?
And yes I agree with everyone else about her filled in face, she needs to hold back with the restylane too much honey! I dont think they had cosmetic fillers in world war one?
It looks like a beautifull movie!!!!
eh, another movie with nicole kidman looking perfectly helpless. eh.
Re: asylumgirl – Kidman doesn't have to pretend to be Australian, she IS Australian. In this movie however she ISNT playing an Australian character. She is playing an English aristocrat who inherits a large station in Australia's north west. Hence the posh non-Australian accent. But you know, dont let facts stand in the way of your having a good ol' bitch
Heath Ledger dropped out of this film in order to do The Dark Knight.
Re: asylumgirl – I would know my shit before I start talking trash about the Aussies.
It looks like it could be fantastic - if Nicole Kidman weren't in it. She cannot act and is box office poison. They should have used another Australian actress that is capable of moving her face and showing emotion (ie Naomi Watts).
The combination of Nicole and Baz has worked in the past, and it always will.
Kidman plays an aristocrat who grew up in Britain. She return to Australia after she inherits a very large cattle station. When she gets there, it's under threat from other station owners (all male) Kidman's headstrong female character is determined they will not win. She then joins forces with the station manager (Jackman) rough aussie stockman to move the 2000 strong cattle north towards Darwin. However, they arrive just as the city is being attacked by the Japaneese (yes thats right Americans - you weren't the only ones they bombed!).
It's Australia's epic love story. It will be for Australia what 'Gone with the Wind' is like for Americans.
It's also important politically because it explores other issues like sexist attitudes of the times, class issues, the war and racism (some of Australia's greatest Aboriginal actors feature in the film - in fact the little indiginous boy who is in the movie had never even been to a cinema before he started filming this!)
Not to mention the amazing locations the film will feature. I believe it will become an iconic movie about Australia's past and many foreigners would learn a great deal about our history by watching it.
I cannot wait.
I can't wait!!!!!!
Help, what movie is that music from? I know that score!!! P.S. vote no on 8, in the words of a genius Love is all you need!!
I hate Nicole Kidman as an actress!! I don't know…there's something weird about her… cold bitch… but this movie lookss good… it reminds me a bit of Titanic!!!
looks BEAUTIFUL. hugh jackman with his australian accent = hot sex on a plate
Re: skichick – I believe it focuses on the time around WW2 invasion attempts in Darwin, and that classic Aussie love story of a Jackaroo (I guess similar to a rancher in the States?) and a 'prim and proper ex-pat from the mother land - I'm guessing based on the footage. That would explain the planes, the Aboriginal kid (more present through the centre and the West Coast due to large indigenous communities), the costumes, the character of Kidman/Jackman.
I think my beautiful country will be shown off, whether the film is god or not. Loving that!
Your all dumbass'..
Nicole is putting on that high class accent because she is playing an Englich aristocrat who comes to Australia to claim her inheritance - An Australian cattle station.
this movie is set during WWII when the Japanese bombed Darwin - the capital of the Northern territory, a state in Australia…
DER
Also! The little boy "running around with his shirt off" Is an Aboriginal kid who is part of the 'Stolen Generation'… He was taken away from his parents/family by the white settlers in order to incorporate them in the white world and slowly phase out the Aboriginal race.
If you Americans knew anything about World history then you would know this!
Don't judge when you don't know the facts! - You guys weren't the only ones who got bombed by the Japanese during WWII…
Re: Lulustre – Totally agree with you. It looks like it could be good if it had a talented actress in it instead of Kidma.n Hugh is hot and Australia is a beautiful country. Too bad she's going to ruin it.
Re: skichick –
very true. imdb.com is a good place to start. they have a summed up version of the plot. im in the film world and ive been following this for a while, so i can pick up easily on the key elements that tell you what the story is about. its clearly a period piece, and the indicative period is the 40s, it seems, so I deduced WWII. for a while i thought it might have to do with the aborigine genocide, but after researching some more, i saw it wasnt the case.
Re: Cecily –
actually, its not centered on the aborinal genocide, but the kid is definitely one.
this will be interesting.
I met Nicole in 1999 at Fox Studios Australia. She was the most stunning women I'd ever seen. No photo or movie does her beauty justice. I really wish she'd lay off the botox and any addition "enhancements".
She was with Tommy Boy that day, and she was wearing heels! Holy crap did he look short, but he was still sexy (back when he hadn't gotten all crazy yet).
SO SO SO SO SO SO SO SO EXCITEDD
i think it looks excellent!
cant wait the movie looks awesome,, i love kidman and hugh i still wished it was russell crowe but i still love hugh…and baz is awesome
Loved what he did with Moulin Rouge so hoping this will be great as well!
Re: asylumgirl –
She plays an English character who goes to Australia… so she's not supposed to have an Australian accent in the movie.
I dont care what anyone says about Nicoles looks. To me she has always been and will always be stunning! This movie looks amazing and I think it will be a great comeback role for Nicole. Baz and Kidman have always had a great partnership with Moulin Rouge, the Channel No. 5 advertisement and now Australia. This movie will be an epic with all of the style Baz has shown in Romeo and Juliet and Moulin Rouge. And Hugh Jackman couldnt have been a better casting choice! Will be there on opening day!
Beautiful. I cannot wait.
Nicole is simply the best actress these days
Hmm, I'm not exactly liking it. I don't feel like "wow, I would like to see that movie." Me thinks a bomb at the box office.
Re: chitchatkitkat –
i quite agree i cant wait to see this film!
It looks like it will be an interesting movie, but I can't help thinking that Naomi Watts would have acted the part so much better…!
Everything Baz Luhrmann does seems too self-congratulatory to me. Overblown fluff. I haven't liked anything I've seen from him.
what the hell is it about? I have no idea
The movie looks awesome but Nicole Kidman and her bad plastic surgery face are box office poison. If this movie tanks too, it will be the end of her. If it does well, it will be in spite of her. It should be her swan song.
I am dying to see it! I love Nicole, Baz, & Hugh. It looks so emotional and powerful!
I have been dying to see this movie for almost three years. I love everything Baz does and when he has Nicole and it's guaranteed to be amazing!
Though I do have to say I saw this peticular trailer months ago….:P
OH EM GEEE BAZ LUHRMANNN OH EM GEE NICOLE KDMANNN
loveloveloveeee
it's baz luhrmann, i'll watch anything he makes.
poor baz and jackman
kidman births yet another turkey.
The movie is crap but I want to kiss that man.
