Just got the album anddddd- LOVE IT.
I don't see how anyone can disagree that Gaga is the future of pop music. Her music is pop perfection and any argument that I've seen against it is looking through the lens of genres other than pop. You can't compare pop to classic rock, soul, indie, etc. Pop music is a chameleon, it takes elements from all genres and makes it dance-able and more-or-less care free. Pop music isn't meant to be deep and meaningful. It's supposed to be fun and cheesy and have a good beat and make you feel good. Who wants to listen to a pop song and be plagued by poignant thoughts or somber melodies? Fuck that shit. Gaga's music is the epitome of good pop.

And next, the music isn't even the half of it. The fact that Gaga writes all her music speaks a lot about her artistic talent, but if you see her perform live you know that this girl is an INNOVATOR! She's so detail oriented. Her choreography, her set, her back-ups, her clothing- That all came from HER OWN HEAD! And she isn't afraid of being unconventional.

Just watch a performance before you write her off as forgettable pop music. Gaga is the shit.

I LOVE Lady Gaga! She's brilliant! Her style is the coolest thing and her album is the bomb! It came out today for all you Americans, go buy it! It's well worth it. Pokerface is the best. I'm surprised she chose to release Beautiful Dirty Rich instead of some of the other, better songs…I hope to see her live one day! I'm dressing up as her for Halloween! Minus the blonde hair. I'll be a darker haired, punk rocker kinda version lolz.

I have to say I was cruelly disappointed when her album got pushed back a week or so. I was planning to crank that cd while I drank cosmos out of a gatorade bottle and felt up some hot strangers on Halloween. This situation leaves me without an ideal soundtrack. Substitutes? Unlikely.
