Barenaked Ladies Singer To Have Drug Charges Dismissed

Barenaked Ladies singer Steven Page just might get off for his July arrest and consequent drug charges.
Page, along with Stephanie Ford and Christine Benedicto, was arrested in Fayetteville, New York and charged with 4th degree possession of cocaine and marijuana.
Following laboratory tests, the charges were dropped to 7th degree possession, and on Tuesday night the case was adjourned for another six months, at which point the case is expected to be dismissed altogether. But first Page must complete a six month drug program and keep his nose clean.
Ford and Benedicto face similar fates.
Instead of it being One week till Page is sorry for what he did - or six months - the singer expressed his gratitude last night:
I'm grateful to Judge Miller and D.A. Fitzpatrick for the opportunity to further prove myself as a law abiding and productive member of society. I look forward to the next six months as a period of healing and growth. I give special thanks to my bandmates for their love, compassion and support during this diffiult period. The past few months have been especially hard and I sincerely thank friends, family and loved ones as well as fans who've shown their love and support. It's meant a great deal to me to be shown the impact I have on others' lives. From people on the street who've stopped to share their support to friends and loved ones close to me who've opened their homes and hearts, I'm deeply moved and thankful. The greatest gift a person can know is to not go through their life alone. I'm fortunate enough to be afforded that gift. I also apologize to all of those I've hurt or embarassed during this episode. The respect…I've earned thus far [are] important to me and I'm moving forward with gratitude and hope.

i was watching our local news last night and they were talking about it and showed him in court…with his 15yr old looking girlfriend…maybe it was me but he looked gross.
And the charges were dismissed because of the "low quality and quantity he obtained."
I guess we have poor coke here Upstate! =]
