According to the just-released ratings, the week of October 20th was its most-watched week (4.24 million in total viewers) in show history!
This is - in part - thanks to controversial TV pundit Bill O'Reilly's appearance on October 20th.
The Bill O. show was one of its 10 most-watched shows historically.
How will they keep ratings up post-elections?
P.S. We gotta give big props to Elisabeth Hasselbeck. She's like the Sarah Palin of daytime TV!

Unhinged people like Elizabeth get big ratings. We call it the "car wreck" theory. Barbara is milking this for the $$$ but she shouldn't pander. She should find a conservative who is more thoughtful and intelligent; someone from whom we can truly learn the conservative side.
Love Elizabeth Hasselbeck. She is the best thing on the view. She is so outnumbered and, while it is hard for her to get a word in edge wise, she is consistent about standing up for her rights. Like those Obama voters that are stealing the McCain lawn signs, sorry folks, but the last I heard, this was still a free country and everyone is allowed an opinion even if it is not yours. People don't watch for Elizabeth. In fact, if you compare her to Palin, that would mean more people are turned away by Elizabitch than they are excited.
I watched the Bill O'Reilly episode… funny as hell! He put that Joy Behar bitch in her fucking place. it was pretty fantastic to see her jaw dropped, glossy eyed dumbfounded disbelief that she was called out on her liberal extremist views.
"CURA" is right. The numbers show viewers who are the ambulance chasers, looking for blood. It's mostly the democrat women sitting at home, chuckling about EH's bumbling. Jeez, that girl and her minions need to go to factcheck.com already!
Numbers will drop significantly after the election. If they wanted HUGE numbers, they should have bent over backwards to keep Rosie for the blood-letting.
I would watch if they replaced EH with an educated Republican who could speak responsibly (and without shrieking) about the new administration…led by Obama.

People actually watch Bill O'Reilly because he makes sense and doesn't BS. I love him and watch him every weeknight. I loved the way he manhandled Joy. She is so annoying. That show would be so much better if she was gone. I love Elizabeth. She stands up for what she believes in and is passionate and fair. Love her and Bill!!!
