I can't believe some people. I don't care whether you are a Jonas Brothers fan or not, this kid has gone through a lot more than most people would imagine. I don't think the fact that you may or may not like his music has anything to do with that. Instead of moping around saying "poor me" like a lot of people might do in his situation, he's trying to make a difference. That is enough to make him an inspiration to me.

I have Diabetes and i was diagnosed when i was only 2 and a half. I am now 19 and living with it has its ups and downs. Im just happy to see that someone is ( hopefully ) trying to get others to finally recognize what is going on. insulin is something we do not produce, and that sets us up for a difficult journey through life. Good for him succeeding in his dreams!!

My best friend is a type 1 diabetic. We are 16 now and she was diagnosed 4 years ago. Nick is an inspirational person, i look up to him as well as his family. I went to a concert in the burning up tour(toronto) and when nick sang a little bit longer i felt like crying because it hit close to home. Seeing someone you care about struggling is a difficult thing to have to go through. To everyone that has a rude comment about the Jonas Brothers or Nick then why even say it at all. Why bother to comment?

yeah, i know that it can get tough sometimes.
no, i don't understand what nick goes through.
but i do know that after 2 years of hearing nonstop about it (he talks about it in every interview and chat he does), it does get a little annoying.
trust me, if i'd known that he was gonna be going on about it again, i wouldn't have clicked on it.
i admire him for spreading awareness, but awareness and irritation are different.
nick doesn't talk a lot, but whenever he does it's about diabetes.
really, there have to be other things that are important to him (and girls, diet coke, and music don't count– there's more to a person than that).
he should keep trying to help out– but maybe he should try talking about other things too for a change.
you know– to offset the heavy talk about living with diabetes (somehow he makes it sound like cancer or something).
i'm not saying that diabetes isn't serious, but he shouldn't let it define him. whenever i think nick jonas, i think 'diabetes'.
