Heading In The Same Direction As River Phoenix???

It seems like friends of 'retired' actor, Joaquin Phoenix, are worried about the now musician.
As we mentioned earlier, Phoenix made the announcement he was quitting film to concentrate on a music career last week at a Paul Newman memorial in San Francisco.
Phoenix was said to be "out of it" at the event.
And according to reports, while other actors were busy performing scenes, Joaquin just got up and decided to walk out.
A source says, Phoenix then "wobbled back in a bit later, but it was odd. He was slurring his words and was unsteady on his feet."
Could it be drugs?????
As for Phoenix's rep, he says Phoenix is fine. "He just wants to focus on music, and he'll be at the screening of his film 'Two Lovers' on Saturday night in LA, and he's directed a number of music videos over the past couple of years."
Right.
We just have two words for Joaquin, "Bye!, Good".

I knew it. When I saw it on E! that he was quitting acting, I just knew he was out of it. None of my friends thought so but I could see it. They thought he was just tired and drained. What do they know? I hope he's not following his brother's footsteps. Seeing him die should have opened his eyes. I really hope he gets through it.
I was @ Davies Symphopny Hall in the orchestra section for the Newman Tribute and Joaquin did not leave the stage, wobble or slur his words more than the character required. He was on stage afterwards as well when the children presented the actors with sunflowers — he was not wobbly. There was a person who brought Bruce Willis an item or spoke to him but other than that nobody left the stage.

Joaquin, WTF???! Did he not learn from literally watching his brother die in front of his eyes? I know the anniversary of River's tragic death was Halloween and maybe Joaquin just freaked out again. He needs to get help - he looks awful and scruffy in the photo! None of his sisters seem to have the same issues but then again the sisters are all happily married whereas Joaquin has nobody to help him through the tough times. Very sad!
I feel sad for him. You know he was raised in that Children of God cult. Children born into that cult have radically high numbers for committing suicide and having drug problems.
