Magic Johnson says NO to Prop H8te!

Former Laker and basketball hall of famer Magic Johnson has leant his voice to the fight against California's discrminatory Proposition 8.
The point guard recorded the following message that will be going out to voters in the golden state:
"This is Magic Johnson calling to ask you to join me and Barack Obama in opposing Proposition 8. Prop 8 singles out one group of Californians to be treated differently - including members of our family, our friends, and our coworkers. That is not what California is about. So this Tuesday, vote no on Proposition 8. It is unfair and wrong. Thanks."

If you believe in equality, vote NO to 8 on Tuesday.

This is about civil rights. If you want the protesters to shut up then stop trying to take away their right to marry a loved one.

I may not approve of straight marriage, but I would never vote to try and remove that right from another.
It's about being a good person and allowing others to live happy lives, that whole "love thy neighbour" shiz.

I WISH we had a Proposition 8 to vote on, here in Seattle, WA. Gays can't even marry in our State, soooo … the vote to repeal what right they now have in CA, is moot up our way.
