Music Powerhouse Live Nation Donates $50,000 to Fight H8te

Live Nation, the big, live music backers of Madonna, Jay-Z and U2 , has donated big bucks to the NO to Proposition 8 campaign.
The company opposes Prop. 8 because the measure takes away individuals' rights.
Senior VP, John Vlautin said, “Live Nation has always offered equal rights and benefits to our employees’ same-sex partners. It is in this spirit that we have made the decision to donate $50,000 to the No on Prop. 8 campaign.”
Music lovers in California, your support is needed.
Go out and vote NO to the hate filled Proposition 8.
Equality for all!

Time, evolution, and philosophical sophistication will march on. Ignorance, evangelicals, and hate will die.

U A Sucka Douche
That's great and all, but just so everyone knows… this company fucking sucks!!!!! Since taking over House of Blues, not only have they trampled their mission statement & reduced their employees to insignificant numbers, they overwork & under pay the hard working peeps whom have stuck with them through the corporate take-over transition. Music is ONLY about money to them, nothing else. Yes, I get it, it's a business, I know, but House of Blues used to do it with a little heart & soul. Live Nation has fired 100's of people and now expect the remaining people to work way more hours for the same amount of money. I'm not talking servers either, I'm talking loyal upper management. I'm sure no one cares all that much, but I needed to vent! They don't deserve too many accolades, trust me!

Wow what a waste of money. Yes on 8
What about amendment 2 in Florida? Some support against it…a ban on same sex marriage…from big companies and names would have been nice too!
Hey and if you live in Florida— NO on 2… I wish we had the support you californians do
I will be voting yes on 8 including nearly everyone I know. Marriage is sacred and it is very much so a religious thing If we allow this we might as allow forced marriage and children marriage as well. It's just as degrading.
but isn't it too late to make donations? the elections are tomorrow.. the money is to spread the message and tell people to vote NO on prop8,, but if they donate the money today,,, isn't it too late?
where is madonna's donation ? where is her support for the gays that made her ritch?

This is a California proposition yet, the majority of the money comes from the Mormon Church, based in Utah; WTF!! They just want to be able to marry as many women as they want, but tell someone else who that can't marry. Go to Utah and you will see these home everywhere, with 4-5 entrances. Each entrance is for a different family.
I am black and the mormons wouldn't accept black people as members until 1978. Because Caine killed his brother Able, blacks were cursed with dark skin, and weren't worthy. In 1978, there was an epiphany, and blacks were welcomed. I say it was about money, because the church was in decline.
thats like 50 cents for them…
MANdonna did not give a red cent, so this is suppose to compensate?????????
Re: StratMan172 – Keep your religion to yourself. But, marriage is a U.S. citizen's right that has NOTHING to do with your f*cked up church.
