They Be Doing It
Here's something we don't see often - a celebrity admitting to a relationship.
Turns out that rapper Nelly is pretty "serious" with his long-term girlfriend, Ashanti.
In a new interview, while celebrating his 34th birthday party at Lavo in Vegas on Sunday, Nelly spoke about his gal pal
He says, "That's the thing between me and her, we just like having fun."
Deep!
Unfortunately, Ashanti wasn't at his birthday party this weekend, as she's currently in Japan.
Nelly did admit though that the two of them have been "hanging out for a minute." Though they've been linked together, on and off, for over five years.
And as to how serious their relationship is, Nelly opens up about that as well.
He says, "I think it's always serious when you can hang with a person continuously … and [“still”] have fun."
As for Ashanti, she recently said in an interview this summer that an engagement could "definitely [be] in the future."
Wonder how long until they get married, pop out a kid, and then get divorced?

Re: State ziti – Yeah…No. She's black. And I would know, she's from my hometown, Glen Cove. If I am correct, she lived in the projects. But then again, it's the projects in a town that surrounds famous peoples' beachside mansions. How ghetto fab can you really be?
On a further note, I think they make a crazyyyy cute couple. I wish them both the best. Perez you need to calm the fuck down! A lot of people divorce, but they're doing it the right way. They like each others company, they make each other happy. They have fun with each other. Those are building blocks to a healthy relationship and an even healthier marriage.

She's not from the projects. She's from Glen Cove which is in Nassau County. I saw an MTV special about her a few years back and she went home while she was being filmed. She grew up in a normal sized house in a predominately African American suburban neighborhood.

So normal sized homes are referred to as the projects in Glen Cove? I'm not familiar with the area.. I'm a Washingtonian however, the house she grew up in and the surrounding neighborhood didn't look anything like the projects to me….when I think of the projects, I think of for example, Brooklyn low income high rise apartments in poverty stricken neighborhoods.
