Emotional Private Service Held For Jennifer Hudson's Family

Mourners gathered this morning, Monday, to bid farewell to Jennifer Hudson's tragically lost family members.
Police directed traffic around the Apostolic Church of God on Chicago's South Side to admit the passage of limousines and hearses carrying the bodies of 57-year-old Darnell Hudson Donerson, 29-year-old Jason Hudson and 7-year-old Julian King.
There was a public service on Sunday, but this morning's service was reserved for family members, with fences shrouded in plastic so that mourners could grieve in private.
Although no one has been formally charged, estranged stepfather William Balfour is in custody as a "person of interest."
We only wish the best for the Hudson family.

it's sad and it's tragic, however, if you hang around gang members, drug dealers, etc. It's bound to happen in time. May Jennifer be able to find peace in all of this. Personally, I think I would probably disown my sister, though.

Re: John Mccain will save America – I agree with you in most of the subjects we touch on these blogs.. but I don't believe in the death penalty…:(… I think it's a waste of taxpayer dollars… and most importantly I think that it's an easy way out for the criminal… I believe in torture slow and painful torture… and I know I just set myself back to Medieval times… I know that!! But that's what I would do… I absolutely condone rape… I would not wish anyone to go through that…except for this fella…

Have we become that desensitized in this day age where we mock situations like this? THREE people, THREE members of someone's family were found SLAIN, one of which includes a 7 year old child.
Come on now people…we all have our differences but when did we stop becoming humans…seriously.
Why haven't they charged this man with anything? There should be some DNA or forensic evidence to at least have some kind of charges. Smells fishy to me.
Such a sad time for that family. I couldn't even imagine. My heart and prayers go out to this family. I hope to read soon that they have the person responsible for these killings. And I hope they see poor little Julians face every time they close their eyes. This person or persons won't survive prison, they don't tolerate people who do things to kids. God Speed
wow i cant believe how cold some of you are!!!! a family is now torn to pieces and all you can think about is its the "ghettos" fault? i just wonder if some of you people know what really happens in the ghetto? To use that word as a reason for the mother and brothers death and basically say its excusable because of their surroundings? ugh….plus who are you to judge what some psycho maniac is going to do! My prayers go out to ALL that is hurt in this tragic story.
Domestic violence/abuse is evil and horrible in any capacity, and all the more tragic when it results in death. HOWEVER, no one seems to pay any attention to the subject unless it involves celebrities or semi-celebrities, such as in this case (I am also thinking of the O.J. Simpson/Nicole Brown case - remember that? That asshole was acquitted.) My heart goes out to Jennifer Hudson and her family, but it goes out a bit further to those who have lost loved ones to domestic violence and have had their cases ignored by authorities, media, etc. because they are simply not of interest to the public.
