Our heart goes out to Barack Obama and his family.
Madelyn Dunham, Barack Obama's beloved maternal grandmother has died.
She was 86-years old.
Barack and his sister released the following statement about the passing of their Toot:
"It is with great sadness that we announce that our grandmother, Madelyn Dunham, has died peacefully after a battle with cancer. She was the cornerstone of our family, and a woman of extraordinary accomplishment, strength, and humility."
The Kansan helped raise Barack from the age of 10 while his mother was working in Indonesia.
We're so glad that the Presidential hopeful took some time off the campaign trail recently to spend time with her.
We're so sad that she died just a day short of Election Day.

Okay… since most of the liberals on here can't seem to leave politics out of their messages, I amend my post to say, "Condolences. Very sad. But it would have been sadder for her to live like, two more days only to see Obama lose." I feel better now.
OH NO! I was rooting for her so bad, I really wanted her to be there for Barack on election day. It is so hard to lose a loved one during a stressful time, especially some one as wonderful as a Grandma.
