Because there are so few lesbian characters on network television, we hope that ABC and 'Grey's Anatomy' will commit to further developing Callie's character and her relationships, and continue providing this important representation on one of TV's most-watched shows."

I loved watching Erica and Callie on Grey's, and was so excited to see what their relationship would grow into. For once there was a homosexual couple on tv that wasn't supposed to be funny- they were just two real people exploring and growing together. I am really let down that the writers have decided to end such an amazing opportunity for the show.

Well, I really wasn't feeling that relationship anyways, so while I'm disappointed, it's not a huge loss in my opinion.
I'm a lesbian for now anyway, and I could give a rats ass that it's over. Their was not much chemistry anyhow and the shows creators should be able to do what they want without having to answer to the queer political police. It was fun while it lasted and I think it's great that they broached the subject. Time to move on.

I personally did not like the abrupt change of Cali from bitter dumped hetro woman to all of a sudden a lesbian. I feel now a more subtle immersion for the viewers of her growth and the exploration of her new found sexuality will be more believable and more sincere over all.

I don't see why they couldn't have kept her and worked out a different storyline, even if the characters didn't stay together. Also, what the heck was the rush with doing it out of nowhere? I read today that she had just moved her family out there to make it easier while filming too, sad.
Maybe now that Prop 8 has passed, ABC will ramp up the GLBT characters and show how "normal" it is to be in same-gender relationships and to want to get married and have a family.
