      Unless gays become a majority, you have to accept that as an American, you are subject to the outcome of our voting process. You don't have to agree, but the opposition has the right to stand by their beliefs without harassment. If gay marriage was approved in every state, and gays continued to be slandered, they would take legal action to defend themselves. The so called moral majority should not be slandered or libeled for following their beliefs as well. It is time to start work on the next election. If everyone works hard enough, the tides will turn. The young generations will make their own decisions.

      First of all it is not fair to call all Oklahomans morons or whatever other names have been used, nor is it fair to blame all of Oklahoma for the reelection of this woman. She was elected to the 84th district of the State House of Representatives. The 84th district is predominately older white males who are extremely conservative. You need to understand the area before you can bash us all here. This is a very small subset of the entire state which includes 101 other representatives to the house. So you have a problem with 1% of our house of representatives. Lay of the state, it isn't fair to the rest of the population for you to point us all out as a bunch of biggots. There are other issues on both candidates platforms other than just gay rights. Yes she won by 57% but once again consider the population of that area before you judge. Unless you know the state and the people you have no right to automatically assume how we all are.

      Only 36% of her district turned out to vote. The 7,000 or so people who voted for her only represent the "opinion" of 21% of the people in her district. Which by the way is less than ten minutes from the gay bar and club district in OKC.

      Her district is not rural. It is a suburb (or two) of Oklahoma City. People in Oklahoma don't pay attention to what hateful things she says as long as she continues to vote in favor of their right to bear arms.
