Janet Jackson's Ticket Sales…Weren't That Bad?

So Live Nation is reporting to Billboard Magazine that ticket sales for Janet Jackson's Rock Witchu Tour weren't actually that bad.

While not all of the ticket sales have been reported, boxscores ranked at least in the top 30, with half of the four reported shows in the top 20. In Washington, D.C. the Rock Witchu show ranked its best at #11.

There are 7 other cities still to report.

So the Tour didn't really bomb.

What gives Miss Nasty?

      I've been on here all along saying her sales have been good.In fact she sold out almost half her shows.When i went to see her in Toronto she sold 10,500 out of a possible 11,250 which is 90% sold out!

      The rumor around town is she's pregnant. She found out in the middle of the tour and had to take some time off to consult doctors and make sure all was okay with the pregnancy. If docs had told her she was at risk, she would have had to cancel the whole tour. But all was fine, so she finished out the major city dates- and canceled the rest. I saw her in NYC last weekend and she was GREAT, but you could tell she was kind of taking it easy, not hitting the dance moves quite as hard as she normally would. Plus she's definitely thicker than she usually is on tour- which again leads one to believe the pregnancy rumors are true. AND the final clue: at the NYC show, when she was introducing the dancers, her best friend, dancer Gil, pulled his shirt down and stuck out his stomach jokingly, and she laughed and playfully admonished him. So I think that's the deal. She's pregnant and being 42 years old, she has to be careful. She's probably waiting til the end of the 1st trimester before announcing anything…

      I saw the show at Madison Square Garden (the last date) and the show was all sold save the 400 section. It was really fun and I have to say, it was the most diverse crowd of any show i've ever been to, and i've seen tons and tons of live shows. While Janet may not be making the best music of her career these days (thanks Jermaine Dupri), she can still throw a fun party on stage.

      I saw her Los Angeles show, and she was amazing! Yes, her current music sucks but she can still put on a heartstopping show, and actually the Staples Center was packed! I'm guessing she's pregnant.

      By the way, for all the Madonna fans out there, I saw her and she was fantastic! I wish she'd get rid of the guitar, but overall the show was enjoyable. Oh, and I got upgraded for free because they closed off the section I bought tickets for. I guess the bad economy is affecting even Madonna. But a great show!
