Jessica A Genius?

As we mentioned to you back in September, some idiots actually hired Jessica "Don't Call Me Latina" Alba to star in a new film.
Alba will star in An Invisible Sign Of My Own, which centers on a young woman, Mona Gray, who has retreated from the world and everyone around her and is completely consumed by numbers and math.
Things then begin to change after she becomes a second-grade math teacher.
Someone needs to get a new casting company though.
We doubt anyone will believe Alba is really a genius.
And just yesterday, Alba was spotted on set filming for the flick in Brooklyn.
Seriously, are they trying to make her seem "special"?
This isn't going to be like Rain Man is it?

An Invisible Sign of My Own is a novel by a great fiction writer Aimee Bender. The novel is smart and has a surrealistic quality to it, so I am a bit apprehensive as to how Jessica Alba or this movie in general will pull it off.

This is going to be dumbest film ever, you can already tell by the cheesy, cliche plot. Ugh. But I guess I didn't even need to read the plot b/c Jessica Alba alone says it's going to suck.

perez, the book was really good–you should read it… it is a pretty quick read! the girl is not really a genius or a rainman, she's just good at math and thinks in terms of numbers all the time. she knocks on wood all the time and has some other quirks, like she washes her mouth out with soap to make herself sick to get out of sexual situations with guys… i guess jessica alba isn't how i pictured the girl (especially because she's supposed to be 20 in the book), but it could be a good movie. i know i thought the book was really interesting, and i look forward to seeing how the movie turns out.

You know, I really liked Jessica Alba until she made that comment about not being Latina - that she's just American. That bothered me for a few different reasons, and now I just don't quite feel the same about her.
Jessica Alba is quite the strange one but she's funny in "Good Luck Chuck." I guess cause it's funny to see a lovely looking person do stupid things
