Batman's Robin Gets Shafted

Looks like Batman's sidekick won't be getting his own Smallville-esque treatment from the CW.

The network halted The Graysons in its early stages of productions, saying that "the concept doesn't fit the current strategy for the Batman franchise."

But there's also word that Dark Knight creator Christopher Nolan was "uncomfortable" with the show's direction, although CW Suits say their decision had nothing to do with Nolan's feelings.

Nolan is apparently not happy about the CW's Justice League Mortal project either, which has also been slow in development.

Warner Bros. says it just needs some time to "rethink its DC Comics strategy."

Holy commitment-phobia Batman!

God, can you imagine how much it would have sucked if they did decide to make a show about Robin?

Thank God! Before meeting Bruce Wayne, Dick Grayson has no story. He was just a normal kid, er, if you were part of a family of circus acrobats. Why not make a series about the adventures of a Pre-Batman Bruce Wayne… um, that's a no brainer!

Robin is crap. They're right, it wouldn't fit into the current franchise. If they did do a show for Robin, then they'd have to put him in the movie too. That's a VERY unlikely thing to happen though. Nolan says in not so many words that he wouldn't want Robin in the film whereas Bale was more forthright about his feelings and told an interviewer to 'fuck off'.

The show is going to be all about me and the revenge I have for my father's death. Madonna can play my mother, she looks like a crackhead. haha, so do I but, I'm not. See me in the next Batman movie.
