In southern Alabama, a couple was shot to death in an argument over….
An Alabama-LSU football game.
According to investigators, Michael Williams - a staunch Alabama fan - and Dennis and Donna Smith - strictly LSU fans - called the couple after Alabama won in overtime 27-21. The Smiths then went to Williams' home, armed with a pistol, and met with Williams, who was armed with a shotgun.
Shots went off. When the dust settled, Dennis and Donna were dead.
Williams was immediately arrested and charged with double homicide.
Because of a football game, two people are dead.
So crazy, stupid and wrong!

Omg they didn't die because arms aren't banned in America - they died because SEC football is insane and particularly the LSU/BAMA rivalry. I went to a Bama/LSU game in the late 70's and the LSU fans through oranges and rocks at us - several folks were injured and required stitches - should we ban oranges and rocks??
This is just disgraceful. Though… it was the Smiths' fault in the first place for going there at all. I say that he shouldn't even be charged. THEY came to THEIR house with a gun. Self defense the way I see it, football game or not. Though, he shouldn't have shot whomever didn't have the gun in their control. Either way, all four of them are losers.
