yeah. i wouldnt be surprised. ive been enjoying mcdonalds lately just cuz theyre way cheaper than most places… and im just too lazy to actually cook at home =P

yes, there is higher unemployment, investments dropped, but one of the reasons people aren't out spending is fear. when the bank news started at the end of the summer, alot of news shows were leading off with 'should you hide your money under your mattress? They were instilling more fear than needed just to sensationalize their stories, get better ratings. the ones going out of business, like circuit city, are over saturating the markets beyond what the consumer needs. Newpapers, magazines, I would expect layoffs. alot of people are reading things on the internet, why would they need print? and it is greener-no paper.

people are turning to cheap food. Soup sales also went up significantly– campbell soups is fat and sodium laden too. It's a sign that people are hurting financially– not fat, lazy and gross.
I tried to get all fresh vegan groceries for the week and two bags came to $70. That's about 70 cheese burgers.

the company my husband is working for is also thriving like a mother, (CSX Transportation) but the greedy sons of bitches wont give thier employees raises they deserve. My husband is working the equivalent of two jobs and getting paid for half a job. Ri-fucking-diculous!!!!!!!!!!!!

If I am tight on money it is too expensive to go to McDonalds. I haven't been there in 5 years. You people need to know what is in your food. I would eat an avocado or a banana for the same price as that processed frankenburger. The choice is there. Stop making excuses for pouring junk into your body. I CAN SMELL PEOPLE WHO EAT MCDONALDS! They smell salty, maybe a bit like bologna and fries. Add in the cost of copayments to your 99 cent burger and the real cost is much higher.
When times are tough, people go cheap. Micky Dees is the place to be when that Obama welfare check comes in!
