Marriage is an institution with roots in the church, not the state. The definition of marriage in the church is one man and one woman in union. The correct approach is to remove special privileges for "married" people so that all are equal, NOT change the definition of marriage.

I can understand and respect that you feel your website is a good venue for you to spread the word about the Proposition 8 incident. Unfortunately, you are completely changing what your website used to be. You had such a unique website because it had fun interesting stories and celebrity stories, and THAT is what made it such a great gossip site. However, you've taken away alot of the light humored-ness of it. It's very unfortunate. I for one will not be supporting any of your sponsors if you continue to use your site as a venue for your opinions. Quite frankly, one more post about proposition 8 and I'll invite Perez readers to boycott your sponsors. If you want to voice your opinion, which is completely understandable, please find another venue for it other than your site. Keep your site as it was. I'm so tired of all this; California has voted (again), the results have been tallied (again) and the result is the same (again).
I voted Yes on 8, but now that I'm looking back I'm thinking if it had not passed this might be beneficial to other 'minority groups'. The GLBT community claims that you 'cannot' choose to be gay, you are born that way. Well, I was born to love to smoke pot; it is not a 'choice', my doctor has prescribed it to me and I cannot live without it. I know that there are other people out with my same condition, so I'm going to say we are a 'minority group'. If this gets overturned, then I will also have to fight for my 'right' to smoke wherever I'd like. I hope everyone reading this understands and will support our 'minority group' in getting this accomplished.
(Also, what about the 'minorities' that want to right to marry more than 1 person….how come no one backs them up?)

No one here is saying, "Let's go to their house and burn it down," he was simply stating that if you believe in this cause, then don't eat there. Hit them where it hurts — their wallet. In America, we have the right to protest — especially for causes put on the ballot that have no right being there. What if it were reversed and gay people put an initiative forth to ban straight marriage, and it narrowly passed? Therefore, TAKING AWAY rights? You have to remember, this is a right gay people had TAKEN AWAY. Just think outside your own bubbles a little bit.
The above bussiness' are being boycotted. Of course, they have the right to donate to whatever they wish to; but they must be willing to accept the consequences.
