For some time now, many people have been talking about how Christina Aguilera has been, uhm, "inspired" by Lady Gaga - both visually and sonically.
Xtina's VMA look was pure Gaga and her Genie remake sounds like something from the Just Dance singer's debut album!
But Aguilera hasn't acknowledged the Lady…until now.
In a new interview with the LA Times, Aguilera talks about her career and such, but when asked what she thinks of Lady Gaga, things turn ugly.
What did you say to those on the Internet who are hinting that you borrowed Lady Gaga’s look?
You know, that’s funny that you mention that. This person [Lady Gaga] was just brought to my attention not too long ago. I’m not quite sure who this person is, to be honest. Xtina has proven her worth over the past ten years, coming out relatively unscathed compared to pop tarts like Britney (love her, but bitch is crazy), Mandy Moore (yeah, she'll stick with acting), Willa (who?) Ford, or Pink (she's had a pretty tumultuous personal life, although the musicality and hits have been there).
Gaga, from what most people say, pure hype. Her voice is barely there and her songs, while catchy and well produced, are pretty by-the-numbers. Didn't her album just get released? How can people be calling foul on Christina for biting her style when Gaga's only been a blip on the radar for a hot minute? Electro has been around longer than I have. The sound has permeated the pop landscape for many years and will continue to do so. Gaga has nicked her sound from the likes of Old Madge, Queen, New Order, etc. Hell, if we're going to lambast Xtina for biting Gaga's sound, let's just throw fuel on the fire and scold Gaga for ripping off Robyn!! (Robyn's self-titled album is better than Gaga's, anway.)
Long story short, Xtina wins. Xtina ALWAYS wins. She has the voice. She has the smarts. She has the talent. Gaga, while a fun, fresh new face, ain't really anything more than that. She'll be a footnote on Xtina's Wikipedia page in 3 years time, mark my words.

That is such a lame comparison. The only thing similar between them is the hairstyle which is so unoriginal at this point and has been rocked by just about everyone at this point including Gwen Stefani on her last album.
