Nickelodeon is out to displace your sullied, slutty barn of child stars!
On Friday, Nick's premiere of its first iCarly original movie, iGo To Japan, broke ratings record for the network.
The movie, starring the adorable Miranda Cosgrove, drew 7.6 million viewers.
That's a Nick record for a live-action television movie.
iGo To Japan was also the most watched entertainment show for the week of Nov. 3 to Nov. 9.
And, Nickelodeon smartly scheduled the original series premiere of the show True Jackson, VP immediately after iGo To Japan. The new show reportedly drew an additional 4.8 million viewers.
Congrats, Nickelodeon!

iCarly is a cute Nick show. My 6 year old son loooooves Miranda Cosgrove and she has totaly knocked Hannah Montana out of his heart.

My daughter loves this show. This is a really cute, tallented girl…not someone "created by daddy".
I did watch the movie along with the new show after it, it was all really good. But, personally, I love Miley and her show more. Everyone finds different things funny, and it really isn't a battle of Disney versus Nickelodeon. I actually grew up with Nick when I was a child, but then started liking Disney more. Either way, I may be 'too old' for Disney, but I don't mind. Disney is funny and fun to me.

I love Miranda, and so do my kids. I even watch it when the kids aren't. It's smartly written, and Miranda is a really good comedic actress. She is my favorite of all the teen stars.

My boyfriend and I actually tuned in to watch I-carly goes to Japan (we're in our early 20's and that show along with drake and josh cracks us up) it was really silly specially because its like 95% blue screen no one comes near japan at all. Our house loves ICarly. We were watching I go to Japan. Funny Stuff. Nick deserves credit for their shows and Miss Cosgrove is a gem. I loved her in School Of Rock & Drake and Josh.
At night I pray that she is smarter than JamieLynn so I don't have to have 'the talk' with my kids before they can understand what's going on.
