McCain Defends Palin

Poor John McCain.
It must be tough having to go out and lie to everyone!
Tuesday night, McCain was on the Tonight Show with Jay Leno for his first interview since losing the presidential election, and he had some interesting things to say.
Like the fact that McCain believes Sarah Palin didn't cost him the election.
We agree, she probably didn't cost him the entire election, but she was definitely a reason why some MANY people were hesitant to vote for him!
McCain said, "I'm so proud of her and I'm very grateful she agreed to run with me. She inspired people, she still does. I couldn't be happier with Sarah Palin."
He did add, "I could tell you a lot of things that we may have made mistakes on," but never went on to list them.
Mistake #1: Getting tricked into choosing Sarah Palin for VP.
And in reference to anonymous top officials disclosing Palin's outrageous shopping sprees, McCain said, "I think I have at least a thousand, quote, top advisers. A top adviser said? … I've never even heard of … a top adviser or a high-ranking Republican official."
He didn't directly address the wardrobe issue.
McCain then added about Palin, "The people were very excited and inspired by her. That's what really mattered, I think. She's a great reformer."
And when Leno asked if he would run again in 2012 when he'll be 76, McCain admitted, "I wouldn't think so. We are going to have another generation of leaders come along."

McCain KNOWS Palin was a drag on his campaign, but he will NEVER admit it because it will make him look like a fool for picking her as his VP!! Even after losing he will conitnue to NOT put 'Country First'. Palin is a dumb donkey and all you republicans know it you just dont want to admit it!

McCain said himself in an interview he wished he had chosen Charlie Crist as his running mate. Being from Florida, I think Charlie is a great man, and I most likely would have voted for McCain if he hadn't maken the trainwreck of a decision of choosing Sarah Palin. yuck.
Anyone who reads or watches the actual news knows that McCains approval ratings shot through the roof when Sarah Palin was put on the ticket. I think he would have lost by a larger margin if it weren't for her. Love her or hate her, she helped his ticket BIG TIME. Just look at the polls before and after he selected her. You are living in a fantasy world if you believe that she hurt the ticket.

I'm a lifelong Democrat who voted for him. His first mistake was the 'I'm gonna stand up for America and fight'. He didn't have his finger on the pulse of America because people worried about their homes, the economy, jobs, not being a Hawk when folks were tired of the war. And that's only mistake #1. But he tried; he's a decent guy actually — just couldn't connect.
I'm a moderate conservative and I was totally for McCain and I think his choice of Palin was brilliant. We all know McCain was fighting a losing battle running after a two term president in a bad economy, he knew that too going into this and he still got 50% of the American votes. If the media had not been so bias McCain could have won. The country is divided very much, but I believe McCain is three times the man Obama is and people will find that out eventually. However, Palin IS a success in her own state and she IS someone with knowledge of energy issues…so like her or not she has a future in politics and it's a bright one. I don't know any conservative or moderate conservative who didn't like her as his pick.

I'm actually kind of glad McCain didn't win just for the fact that the media would NEVER support him or show anything positive if HE were the winner. All of you who voted for Obama would be saying "he isn't MY president" and would refuse to support him and would start the four year smear campaign. I didn't vote for Obama, but I will support my president whatever the party…a lot of liberals refuse to support our president if he isn't their pick, the media refuses to as well.
