She's putting the big girls to work!

Salma Hayek reveals in a new interview that she is addicted to breastfeeding!

Says Salami, "I'm like an alcoholic. It is like, I don't care if I cry, I don't care if I am fat, I am just going to do it for one more week, one more month, and then when I see how much good it is doing her (precious little Valentina) and I can't stop."

Maybe she'll stop when more of baby V's teeth come in?

Hey, moms out there, when did U stop whipping out the boob and why?

Is Salami's addiction a normal thing?

Enlighten us!

    shes so pretty.

  3. 3

    Feed me mommy!

  4. 4

    Kinda Gross.

Re: Major Dude – What up Maj?

  6. 6

Id say at least by a year . those teeth can hurt

  7. 7

LOL, you're really clueless Perez, I gave my child breast milk till 14 months and it's the best thing you could do for your child, kudos to Salma.
P.s. some people give breast milk till 4 years!

  8. 8

    Hey Perez!
I haven't had a kid so no breastfeeding for me yet! But I was breastfed until I was 2. The World health organization says you should breastfeed until at least 6 months, then introduce solids, but you should breastfeed until the baby is two so they get maximum benefit from it! It also benefits the mum by reducing the chances of getting cancer!
Its nice to see celebrities breastfeed, it encourages other mothers to as well! And yes I have heard it is addicting!

  9. 9

Well, i havent had a kid before but i can imagine as it feeling like a natural thing that makes you feel closer to your child…and they only stay like that for a short period of time…i bet she just wants to feel that way for as long as she can.

  10. 10

I breastfed my son until he was 10 months. His teeth are pretty much why I stopped; he liked to bite. My goal was to do it as long as possible and I'm glad I did. People who don't breastfeed are idiots.

  11. 11

    lunch is served, hell yeah!

  12. 12

…I had no idea that she was a lesbian. Suck away hon. "Only Yesterday" she seemed straight.

  13. 13

Re: harrybalsac – harry! in your absence last night, I posted for you on the Madonna does something with Perez, advised, "go ahead, piss yourself" but did note it was in your absence. It was so appropriate!
hope you don't mind! let's tag team Alice! you first!

  14. 14

    yikes!!

  15. 15

My baby was 15 months and I would have done it a lot longer but she stopped on her own. It really is addictive. The let-down reflex makes you feel SO RELAXED! It's like an instant tranquilizer!

  16. 16

    lol

  17. 17

Re: karencarpenter – Karen, I guess this is another case of "bless the beasts and the children"

  18. 18

my s-i-l is the same way!!

  19. 19

My son was 13 mos. Breastfeeding ended because he proclaimed he wanted his "baba" and pushed me away! I was heartbroken. It was far harder for me than him. It is such a bonding/spiritual connection between mother and child. I would have kept going…but the little man had spoken! It is different for every woman, some women just can't do it…others, just don't want to stop!

  20. 20

    wait,
    one word
    motorboat
    signed
could be two words motor AND boat - but thought I would mix it up a little, I'm insane like that, you know?

    21

I breastfed each of my kids for 1 year. It's so much easier than bottles. And oh yeah…it's healthier for them too. Plus….my boobs looked like Salma's….which was a bonus for my man.

  22. 22

If she can breastfeed her baby for at least two years, that would be great for the babe. Good for her!

  23. 23

I stopped at 3 months…some of us have jobs and do not have billionare boyfriends.

  24. 24

Breastfeeding is the best thing a mother can do for her baby. It provides the most nutrients, way more than formula. I breastfed my son for 7 months, until he got his first 2 teeth. He didn't bite, but I was too scared that he would so I weaned him. But to each their own, it is perfectly natural and there's nothing sexual about it (for all those conservatives who are horrified to see a new mom breastfeed in a mall).

  25. 25

Those freaks that let their kids latch on to the boobies up until like age 5 have some serious mental issues.

  26. 26

Thank you!!! I love it when celebrities talked about normal things like breastfeeding.
I know people that breastfeed until the child is a toddler. And it is VERY normal to love doing it. You connect SOO much with your child!!!

  27. 27

Breastfeeding is very natural and normal- it is a great bonding experience with your child. I breast fed all three of my kids for a year each. After that, I think it gets a little weird. Just my opinion.

  28. 28

i pump my breast milk because i think attaching your child to your boob is effin disgusting..my babies are reserved for my man, not my children. i do agree that the milk is better which is why i exclusivly pump but i read people who feed on their boobs until children are almost 2 and i dont know why. that is the nastiest thought that can go through my mind

  29. 29

Its addicting because you burn so many calories… and weight… while youre breastfeeding.

  30. 30

Breastfeeding was one of the most wonderful things I ever did in my life. It's not like anything you could ever explain, it's just such an amazing feeling of love and warmth and comfort. I stopped when my daughter was around nine or ten months old, and I actually miss it.
Breastfeeding actually releases endorphins in the body, which can actually contribute to the "I'm addicted to this" feeling. :-)

  31. 31

    My God!!

If she needs someone to help feed her fetish after her kid is considered "too old", I'd love to volunteer……

    WOW! That is SO Hot!

  32. 32

I breastfed, my daughter for 2 months and my son for 4 months….I would have done it a year if I could, but I was not with them all the time and had trouble pumping so went formula. It definetly is addicting….apparently while you breastfeed, your brain releases endorphines….it creates a euphoric feeling!

  33. 33

It is suggested that you breastfeed for up to a year, but breastfeeding for only a little while is healthy, too. I can see how it can be addicting for someone who is able to take care of their responsibilities by delegating, but for a woman with a busy household it is difficult. Breastfeeding is very time consuming. It is a speacial bond though, and a very beautiful part of life. I did it with all of my children, until I either had to go back to work or my house got too chaotic.

  34. 34

she shouldn't be drinking-goes right to the baby-after six weeks, the baby has all the antibodies it needs for good health

  35. 35

My sister-in-law has been breastfeeding my nephew for almost 18 months now. I don't think there should be any kind of time limit on how long you can do it. It really does bond baby and mom. Of course, maybe after age 2 it might get a little weird.

  36. 36

The min my daughter got her teeth in that was it. Its not so cute anymore when they try biting your nipple off.

  37. 37

It's very normal to be amazed at the fact that you are producing the one and pretty much only thing that's sustaining your child. It's good to keep breastfeeding till the child is 1 provided you're producing the milk.

  38. 38

Completely normal. I LOVED breastfeeding. I stopped breastfeeding my 1st at 1 year and only stopped cause I had to go back to work. I stopped breastfeeding my 1st at 4 months cause I kept getting breast infections which decreased my supply of milk. I was so sad to stop and I still am…

  39. 39

Breastfeeding mothers should continue until the child decide they want to stop. Also teeth aren't a problem because it's impossible to suck and bite at the same time, so babies learn fast that if they bite, they don't eat. But she totally continue, it's great for her to bond with her child that way and Valentina gets more nutrition from breastfeeding than she would from anything else. Why shouldn't she be given what's best for her?

  40. 40

Two years, two months. It was wonderful. Something I wish you could experience someday, but, alas….

  41. 41

I'm still breastfeeding my 1 year old and I must say I am addicted to it myself. I know my daughter isn't ready to wean yet and I am not going to force her.

  42. 42

I nursed til 50 weeks with my oldest daughter and 6months with my 2nd daughter. I think after 13-15 months it is too old. When they can ask for it… you should stop. Or if you do it, pump and give it to them in a bottle.

  43. 43

Re: Major Dude – Take me, you animal.

  44. 44

I am still nursing my 1 year old. I will probably continue til she is 2. She loves it and she will only be this small for a very short period of time when you look at the big picture. Plus, I don't plan on having any more! Sure, some people think it's gross or weird or I should have stopped when she had teeth, but sometimes you just GET OVER IT. It's what's best for her and our family.

  45. 45

Breastfeeding IS addicting!!! I breastfed each of my 3 kids for 1 year!!!

  46. 46

Some people take themselves a little too seriously. I bf'd all three, but was happy to give it up. You do what's best, but damn, obsess much?

  47. 47

    Feed me.

    YUM!!

  48. 48

TWO MONTHS FOR ME OR WHEN THEY GET A TOOTH!

    50

past two is a bit weird. i had a neighbor who had her kids come home from kindergarten and jump up on her sick lap and breastfeed. She said Le leche league promoted this behavior. she was exceptionally weird.

  51. 51

    got milk?

  52. 52

My daughter is 23 months and we are still breastfeeding. She doesn't bite and we are very happy with BF. I do get weird looks at malls ans other places when I feed her. But, who cares!!! I'll stop when she decides she had enough

  53. 53

    Re: mamacita402 – SELFISH BITCH!

  54. 54

They are sucking not chewing! There is an occasional bite here and there but nothing that out benifits breastfeeding.I breastfed until my daughter was 2.

  55. 55

she can give me a call…I'll come by and suck on them things.

  56. 56

Fed my two children til they were 18 months…they weaned themselves at that age…the best damn thing you can do for your child! I loved every feed and felt to connected to my children!! I totally get Salma!!
Unlike Suri whose still drinking barley water and such in a bottle…breastmilk is nature's food for a baby!

  57. 57

Re: MissDoodahDay – Such a strong statement. You sound like an idiot.

  58. 58

  59. 59

Why don't you ask your beloved homewrecker Angie how it feels to breastfeed?

  60. 60

On another note. Good for her, most stars these days are to concerned on themselves and their looks to worry about breastfeeding. You think Jordan would breastfeed her kids?

  61. 61

i breast fed my daughter until she was 10 months. it was great to nourish her with the milk my body produced, it's wonderful. but my daughter starting pushing me away at 10 months and only wanted to eat solid food from then on. and another trippy thing is that my duaghter LOVES veggies! any veggie, she loves them. now she always wants lots of veggies in her lunch for school.

  62. midi says – reply to this

    62

teeth at 7 months = no more.

  63. 63

Breastfeeding is the best gift you could give to your child. Its natural and helps the mommy lose her pregnancy weight too. I don't see why she would be addicted to it. I nursed my first son until 7 months then my 2nd son until 10 months. Its the best she's a bit crazy for saying that.

  64. 64

Re: MissDoodahDay – People who judge others are idiots also. You should breastfeed for at least a year, dumbfuck. Now your kids gonna be all fucked up for the rest of his life. I'll see him on COPS one day getting arrested for knocking over a gas station, all because you didn't be a good mother and breastfeed for AT LEAST A YEAR.

  65. 65

Re: harrybalsac – yes harry, you do. I posted it for you in your absence, I was proud to honor you that way, especially on Veterans Day.
thank you for your service to this flamer's post.

  66. 66

Re: vbitch – Breastfeeding at the mall can take on two forms. I small baby i can handle it, but when a kid runs up to the mom and sticks his hand up her shirt and takes the boob out is sickening to me. I saw a boy about 4 breastfeeding standing up. YUCK! I left the mall immediately. 1 yr is about as old as I can handle. I do respect the mothers that actually use a cover up. I would rather not see someones wet nipple while eating my lunch.

  67. 67

Re: mamacita402 – OK. I am not a parent and I don't agree with your comment. You think breastfeeding babies is disgusting and yet, you have no problem referring to your breasts as "babies"…sad!

  68. 68

My child was almost two. It is quite difficult to stop, since the baby gets so used to it, it's a lot harder than weaning the bottle.

  69. 69

People breast feed up to age 5! Believe it or not!!

  70. 70

Breastfeeding causes orgasms. One of nature's little perks to encourage women to do it. It really is good for the baby and the longer you do it the better. lol :)

  71. 71

Id say if the kid is old enough to ask for it, its to old to have it.

  72. 72

i love salma she is so beautiful. Good for her for still breastfeeding too. i myself am still breastfeeding my daughter. It's the most natural and easy thing to do. You also feel a very close bond with your child. I think though it's very hard for the child to stop. It's a habit like a bottle or a pacifier. oh the teeth don't get in the way. they know the difference. my daughter has never tried to bit. The academy of pediatrics suggested breastfeeding till the age of 2. they say….breastfeed babies r smart!!! who knows. i love it and will continue to do it until she is done.

  73. 73

I have a 5 month old and I must say that breastfeeding is so empowering. The connection you have with your baby when you're breastfeeding is something that's so special. You are making the food that feeds your child and it's just amazing.

It can be addicting because the bond is so powerful. I've stopped breastfeeding but only because my baby was not getting enough milk and she was dehydrated. I supplemented for a while but now she's on formula exclusively.

For those out there that say, "If you don't breastfeed your baby, you're stupid. " or whatever- that's just rude. Some women can't and it's hurtful to say that.

  74. 74

Re: mamacita402 – Breast are not there for men you idiot! Breasts were meant for breastfeeding!

  75. 75

Teeth don't make a difference because babies have to break the suction to bite. WHO(world health organization) recommends a minimum of breastfeeding for 2 years. American Academy of Pediatrics recommends at least 1 year or as long as mom and baby want to.

  76. 76

Yes, it's normal! Don't be an ass, Perez. I breastfed until my daughter was 2 1/2 - even doctors are recommending that you nurse for 2 years at this point - it is the best nourishment for a baby. Also, the baby fat just slides right off when you breastfeed.

  77. 77

Well… like anything, everyone is different. For the person below who said people who don't breasfeed are idiots… is plain idiotic. I breastfed my first 2 for 4 months. I quit because it wasn't working for me nor the baby. My 3rd baby couldn't be breastfed for health issues. I pumped for 5 weeks, until my milk dried up do to stress. Further, I have spoken to 2 pediatrician's who have told me that there is NO data to support that there are any health benefits of breast feeding past 6 weeks. As far as I'm concerned… the major benefit is it's free! Formula is expensive stuff!

  78. 78

Re: HiHater – sweet! perhaps the most erotic post I have ever read here… Alice, whaddya think?

  79. 79

Breastfeeding is really great for your baby. I nursed my daughter past the age of two and she's very healthy with no allergies.

  80. JeNaY says – reply to this

    80

Well Perez looks like your doinf pretty well yourself these days…but breastfeeding is a major pain thats indescribeable, imagine someone biting your balls…it hurts. But its a beautiful thing shes doing it for her baby, statistically is better for the brain and development. She will be smart :)

  81. 81

i think breastfeeding is weird. i always think the mom is getting sexual pleasure from it whether she admits to it or not. but that could just be my jaded mentality thinking. the older they get, the weirder it is. i wouldnt encourage it. i saw a woman with 5 yr old boy breastfeeding and his feet were dangling to the ground and had a smirk on his face. ucky.

  82. 82

Anything after 6 months is just gross. I had 4 and nursed them for 6 months each. Sick.

  83. 83

Re: MissDoodahDay – Yeah dumbass. I couldn't breastfeed because I had a double mastectomy at the ripe old age of 23. Guess I'm the biggest idiot of all huh?

  84. DaLa says – reply to this

    84

"Hey, moms out there, when did U stop whipping out the boob and why?"

Because most of us aren't self employed like producer Salma Hayek. American society isn't sympathetic to nursing women (or mothers in general). The economy makes it impossible for us to stay home and our employers make it impossible for us to pump and freeze breast milk all day long. Sad for the babies.

  85. 85

All I know is I want her breasts in my mouth!

  86. 86

I nursed my first baby until he was 4 months old and always wished I'd done it longer. I nursed my second baby until a week after her first birthday and I still wish I'd done it longer! It's addictive because nursing stimulates the release of lots of feel good hormones in a woman's brain.

It's best for babies because every mothers' milk is made especially for her baby! Baby humans should not drink formula made from milk for baby cows!

  87. 87

Definitely a normal thing! I breast fed for two years. She is one intelligent little lady, she has been reading since she was age 4 and is on her fourth (purple) belt in Tai-Kwon-Do. I do not joke when I say mommy's breast milk is the best for baby.

  88. 88

    i'm jealous.
i want to suck on those titties.

  89. 89

Re: jackie kay – It really HURTS to much to be pleasurefull, at least for the first few months, after that I have to agree, as I said before. My sister-in-law actually did it until the kid was 4, and only quit because her own mom made her.

  90. 90

Since humans are uniformly detached from their instincts by all the crap they see and read, it is wise to look at animals. (If you believe in evolution). Puppies and kittens or little chimps would be a good example. When they have enough teeth to chew, and when they have enough mouth coordination to sip and swallow rather than suck, it's time to get that out of their mouth. Their mothers will push them away when they try to nurse. Because her instinct TELLS her to. But humans will rationalize anything. We are the only animals that drink milk after infancy anyway- and it makes a lot of people sick who do. If you have a three or four year old still nursing, then you should be seeing a shrink because you have attachment issues. It hurts to wean your baby, but you have to- it's part of seeing them grow up.

  91. 91

I bf'd my son for almost 10 months and would have gone longer if he wanted to. I think the longer you can do that for your child, the better! All animals do it, so why are we any different? We're the only species that try to give our babies milk from another animal when they're babies…that's weird, IMHO.

  92. 92

when my son was 7 months. Because i couldn't keep up with how much he ate anymore…switched to rice cereal

besides…once you quit breastfeeding, your boobs change and lose their fullness.

  93. 93

Re: mamacita402 – wow jsut cause you dont do it and arent comfortable with it doesnt mean you should knock ppl who do it. and if you think twisted thoughts about it thats your own fucking problem. its natural to breastfeed.its whats most beneficial for your child. besides sometimes it can be very difficult to wean a child who craves the closeness and bonding with mommy. you'll give them the milk by pumping fine whatever, same thing right? WRONG! you miss out on so much. and besides i dont know if you missed this memo but BREASTS ARE THERE SPECIFICALLY FOR FEEDING BABIES, NOT PLAYTHINGS FOR YOUR"MAN". fucking idiot

  94. 94

Re: flowerpower – 4 years…that is disgusting and rediculous

  95. 95

Re: mamacita402 – You have some serious problems mamacita. A woman has breasts for one reason…..breastfeeding. Grow up.It's not about you…..or your man!

  96. 96

I think it should be up to the mother and child when to stop really. Dr's say that if you are going to do that, it's good to try to reach a 6 month mark. It helps to boost their immune system. I have two children and I tried to do breastfeeding for both. I made it to 5 months with my son before we found out he had an allergy to a protein I produced in my milk no matter what my diet was (I was down to eating bread and drinking water). My daughter was only a few weeks old when I stopped because she began to display similar symptoms as my son had. We at least knew to stop sooner. Both were put on a special soy fomula and were and are healthy as can be. My son didn't even get his first cold until he was 13 months old! And believe me, he was certainly exposed to enough germs. I did not really find breastfeeding addicting. In fact, I found bottles to be much easier. Whether it was with pumped milk or formula. It just worked with my schedule better. I am not one who can stop to sit down for 45 minutes and just sit there.

  97. 97

I nursed my second son for four months. I made the mistake of introducing a bottle so my husband could help feed. He liked the bottle more than the boob. My thrid son I nursed a full year never introducing a bottle. He went from the boob to a cup by his own choice. It was a great tine to relaz and spend time woth your baby. I missed it more then he did.

  98. 98

    Totally normal. Good for her!

  99. 99

Re: Kristen in Colorado – gross….i feel bad for your kid

  100. 100

I breastfed till my little guy was a yr old. And he's a happy VERY healthy 5 yr old! :) HOORAY FOR BREASTFEEDING!!!! Plus, my boobs like as good as they did before i got preggo! Maybe a little bigger! hahaha!!
