it's unfortunate that so many of todays youth come to this site for political knowledge. perez, instead of being a flip flopper from hilary to barack and so on, you should have taken this opportunity to tell the youth to do the research for themselves. learn up on the stance of each politician….something that perez didnt do himself. something which became very obvious when he so suddenly jumped form the hilary bandwagon to the barack bandwagon.

I won't comment on the gossip bit, because you used to be a bit bitchier and I liked it!! but I do really appreciate all of the election coverage that you did, i can't watch the news with out muting my TV when palin or bush came on, and your site gave me another media to help make my decision (not like it was hard… at all) not only your own personal opinion, but your links to other news and political websites for info.
i also respect you for getting support for the protests against prop 8. this is your blog and people come here to read your opinion (i don't understand the people who are basically opposite from you in values and politics even coming on here)

It's funny to read that in an ironic way. A few weeks ago I was out with some friends and some people I didn't know and they said how they didn' go on Perez Hilton. I stopped reading People and watching Entertainment Tonight after the death of Princess Diana, so I know it is hypocritical that I read Perez's site. What I pointed out is that some months ago he began posting links to websites to support a large variety of charities. I also respect his honesty, particularly with standing up and being proud of being gay. To be honest, I guess I'm a little dull being a white, heterosexual woman, but I grew up in a different world than now. Luckily it was a resort in the Hamptons so we were very used to people being gay, at least openly in the summers. I grew up not having a problem with. My father was a total jock and one day I came home from the corner store (back when little kids could go out alone and walk a block or two there and back) and I mentioned how there was a guy with eye make-up in the store. My Dad just said, "Oh, that's just *******, that's just the way he is". He and my Mom never made a big deal of it, even being major Catholics, but I'm glad there are people like Perez who support charities and stands up for what he believes and gets people motivated. I don't agree with some of the gossip, but I just don't read those ones. I really respect him and I don't give my respect very often.
