Separate is not equal, regardless of terminology, the rights provided under domestic partnership and civil unions are not equal to those provided under marriage. And really is marriage so sacred to straight society. Is that why their divorce rate is over 50%? Is that why they are so often being caught up in extra-martial affairs? Is that why they run off to places like Vegas for the drive through wedding chapel? Straight society has made marriage a joke, with there second and third marriages. All the LGBT community is asking is to be given the same rights that others have. They vote, they pay taxes and they should not be caste out by society as less than nothing.
