It Is God's Will, Right???

They just poured over half a million dollars into passing Prop 8 and now Focus On The Family, one of the largest gay hate groups in America, has announced layoffs at their homophobic organization.

If they'd only kept that money, those families would not be suffering right now!

    Get over IT!

  2. 2

Actually since they won was the money wasted?

  3. 3

Sweet, they're taking on the gay mafia.

  4. 4

    Karma's a bitch, innit?

  5. 5

    Karma, baby, it's KARMA! =)

  6. 6

FUCK OFF, GOD'S WILL! YOU WILL BE STRUCK DOWN SOON IF YOU KEEP TALKING SHIT!

    Re: Big Black Dick
Rock out with your cock out. I'll be there.

  9. 9

Perez, if I were you, I'd not be so flip about God in your stupid little headlines. He is the last word in the end, you know!

  10. 10

No one cares, pal! You lost, get over it. You shouldn't have backed Obama, who is AGAINST GAY MARRIAGE. Blame Obama! ahahahahahahahaaaaaaaaa

  11. 11

The Prop 8 election is over. Why would they be needed? It way only temporary.

  13. 13

Focus on the Family is a CHRISTIAN organization that teaches families through messages of the Bible and God's spoken word. Do you honestly expect them to support gay marriage? It says in the bible that marriage should be between a man and a woman. I am personally all for whatever people feel is right for them (sexual orientation, etc.), but it is okay for people to have THEIR OWN BELIEFS.

Not everyone is going to accept homosexual marriage, Perez, and that's THEIR perogative. Our forefathers wrote the Constitutions with Christian values instilled. Every man is created equal does NOT PERTAIN TO SEXUAL PREFERENCE… it pertains to color, creed, etc. You can't twist the words of Thomas Jefferson's mouth, like you did in a prior post to suit what you want to portray to the public.

  14. 14

    Hey bitches. I'm back….

  15. 15

First I do not think Focus on the Family employees HATE gays. They just don't believe it is right how did this turn into hate?! Also, What organization does not pour money into a cause they strongly believe in?

  16. 16

Just because they have different beliefs than you, doesn't make it hate……It's hate when they start burning crosses in your yard…..don't even go there….

  17. 17

p.s. You can still support gay persons without fully supporting their right to marry. I have many gay friends and have gone to their weddings, but I, myself, would never do such a thing because those are my beliefs.

I support my friends, but I have my beliefs based on the writings of God Himself. Not allowing me to have my views, Perez, because you don't agree, is not very liberal of you.

And, I would stop making jokes about people in the news having their own beliefs in God. I don't see those people referencing agnostics or atheists…

There's not a day that goes by, that I don't think about the BIGOTRY in America. It is like a festering sore on our souls in this country which proves we are just a third world nation with 21st century technology.

As evidenced by some of the racial comments on your own web site perez, you should know that Americans are beyond hope when it comes to understanding other people. I really have no faith whatsoever in Americans and their ability to end bigotry in all forms.

    20

you need to realize that just because people believe that marriage is defined by a woman and a man, doesnt make them "homophobes" you keep talking about being against hate…yet YOURE so full of hate. ive never seen anyone so full of hate as yourself. and yeah it is God's will because that's how he created marriage.

  21. 21

    Re: topper – good morning!

  22. 22

You lay down with the devil, you deserve what you get. Sorry, I don't wish ill on these families the way they wished ill on the gay community by helping this stupid, stupid organization, but Karma really is a bitch.

  23. 23

Taking away someone's right to marry IS HATE. To spend so much energy into taking away the right to marry that has NOTHING to do with you is the same as HATE. If your not Gay or course you don't understand. But this is our time and we will fight and fight and fight. I'm kinda glad Prop 8 failed. It has energized the Gay Community to stand up for our rights. We will not be told anymore what we can and can not have. We don't want hand outs (Civil Unions) We want our RIGHTS as tax paying citizens.

So get of your fucking high horse and STOP worrying about what my family wants to do and worry about you fucked up family. My Partner and I marrying has NOTHING to do with you and your spouse getting married. NOTHING!

So stop telling us to get over it and Saying its not Hate because you disagree with gay Marriage because deep down, you know it is. Its our Civil Right and just because the Majority thinks we don't deserve them, doesn't make it right. Re-Read your History Books. Our Country was not founded on what the Majority thinks.

And if your tired of Perez talking about this ON HIS SITE…FUCK OFF!

  27. 27

Re: DGrey – Do you listen to yourself? How did "God" create marriage?? Marriage is a creation of man. What about divorce? Did God create that, too? and YES, it DOES make you homophobic to believe marriage can't be between any two loving adults! been to Vegas lately? What the hell is so sacred about marriage in this country? Stay out of people's bedrooms! Go back many years and people were saying the same things about interracial marriage, but no one says that now. Know why? It's stupid! And soon, one day, this argument will seem stupid to all you homophobic idiots , too.

  28. 28

Yea and if the TEACHERS UNION wouldn't spend so much on elections……

  36. 36

Re: libgirl – I smell bullshit….and lots of it….go hose your head out….look at what you are saying….marriage has no meaning, yet it means so much to the gay people? You think people that respect the sanctity of marriage support the quickee marriage divorce craze? It may not mean much to you, but it does to many….God can be a very cruel God….especially when you fail to listen to him and are so easily influenced by apparent evil ideas, failing to take the knowledge and power He has given you to do what is right. The liberal have made it not only too easy to take the low road, they have made it almost normal. I tell my 14 year old son, every morning, that it is hard to be good; but, you don't have to seek approval for being good….you just get it. GET IT!!

  37. 37

Re: Big Black Dick – is dat right… lol u wish u cud handle all da junk in my trunk.

  38. 38

They are not "homophobic"; they just don't happen to agree with homosexuality; it's not the same thing. They don't hate gay people; they just reject it as a sin on moral grounds based on what the Bible says about it. They are simply following what they believe and what their conscience tells them.It is NOT out of hate! They are not malicious or hateful; their ministry is out of love. They promote moral family values and respect life, faith and family. They counsel families in need, help the less-fortunate and do a lot of GOOD work! Just because they don't agree with or promote the gay cause doesn't make them bad!!!!!!!

  39. 39

Re: Baby B – Stop being so hateful, in your effort to stop supposed hate….it really doesn't help your cause. You "rights" havbe not changed…your freedom has not changed….This is the life you chose, this is the battle you chose. When you approach the issue, ready to fight….you must also be prepared to be shot down. It happened, more than once. It is done. It is over, to throw hateful remarks at people for defending their views does nothing for your supposed goal of acceptance. As you see married couples as "fucked up" families, why would you want to be one? Oh, yeah…it isn't about being "married" it is about being told you are in a normal relationship…..well, you need to tell yourself that. You can unite with your partner and share vows of monogomy and support without us giving our approval; as a matter of fact, you can do it with a tax break. Why not come up with you own little unique title for a homosexual union? Marriage and the family unit still stands for alot to alot of people, so respect that the same way you want your relationship to be respected. GET IT?

  40. 40

Focus on the family is an amazing organization. Get a CLUE. The fact that you would even call this organization a "hate group" is insane & ignorant.

  41. 41

Re: Pogue Mahone – Hate hidden behind "God" is still hate.

  43. 43

Re: Seriously – Honey, you're the one who doesn't get it. To think that YOU have the power of approval is your first mistake. And, to think that YOU own "marriage" and "family" is your second. Everything you know in your little "Leave it to Beaver" brain will be redefined in the coming years. So, sit back, relax, and try to enjoy the ride. GET IT?

  44. 44

Baby B, our country was founded on the idea of freedom of religion. Don't pick and choose your history. That means the mormons have every right to practice their religion and believe whatever they want to believe, AND not be persecuted for it. Keep in mind that nonreligious people often say they don't want Christians shoving their beliefs down their throats. But, what do you think the secular-progressive movement is doing? Just one look at this blog and you'll see all of the progressive b.s. being forced upon everyone.

  45. 45

    Re: libgirl

Are you gay people and gay sympathizers completely ignorant? Marriage is SPELLED OUT in Corintheans. For those gays who don't know what that is, it is in the Bible, something you should perhaps read before you base your arguments off of it. The US didn't invent marriage morons, its only gave legal rights and benefits for those couples because the government has an economic and social interest in preserving families. And the majority of US citizens feel that you too deserve the same rights, but not MARRIAGE. So quit trying to get the government and church to sanctify your alternative lifestyle with the word "marriage" show a little bit of respect for those of us who do take our Christian beliefs seriously.

Re: libgirl – I have nothing to do with Prop 8 and I have never voted against gay marriage. What I was trying to get across is that NOT EVERYONE has the same views and you cannot control everyone.

The laws against gay marriage were instilled because the majority of people voting shared the same beliefs… just like how the majority of people voted for Obama. You cannot complain about a persons personal views and you have no right to change them. Just because you don't agree with a person DOESN'T make them wrong. You have your views on a topic and I have mine. You will never change mine.

  48. 48

Re: BlancheD – No, if you knew anything about Christianity, you would know they are taught to hate the sin and not the sinner. The way the gay community has been acting towards the Mormons, on the other hand…

    49

….or if gay people didn't try to hijack traditional marraige then they wouldn't of had to spend all that money to fight back.

  50. 50

I've noticed a trend. It appears that Liberals are the most intolerant people of all. I have no problem with gays, gay marriage, any of this. As I mentioned earlier, God is the ultimate judge, not us. I have gay friends, straight friends, I love them all, I don't even contemplate our differences. Yeah, the Bible has some things to say about homosexuality, but the Bible has a lot more to say about judgement. WE ARE NOT THE JUDGE!! So, I'd be a total jackass to tell my gay buddy, hey, you know what the Bible says, right? Then my gay buddy would look at me and say hey, you know what the Bible says, right? When I die, I've got plenty to answer for. Believe me! The Bible says sin is sin, so when it gets right down to it, I'm no better than the dude sitting on death row. At least in God's eyes I'm not, and He IS the last word. But it's distrubing to me when I see people on here being bashed or made fun of for believing in God, or whatever. Judgement is judgement. Hate is hate. It doesn't change based on what side your on. And the way I see it, we are all screwed until we figure that out.

  51. 51

Re: JuliaGulia – " It says in the bible that marriage should be between a man and a woman."

Julia, exactly where in the bible does it say that MARRIAGE should be between a man and a woman??? Should I wait while you go look that up? Good luck finding that statement…because it's not in there. BTW, if Jesus hated gays like all the right-wingers say, don't you think that would have been mentioned ONCE in the entire New Testament?

  52. 52

Re: libgirl – God did, in fact create marriage… just as He did everything else and especially YOU. He knew that this conflict would happen and he gave every person free will to do what they wish. What He has given you was a gift… you can choose to accept what He's sent or you can choose to stray away. Your afterlife is what you choose it to be.

  53. 53

Re: Seriously – I fully agree.

  54. 54

Re: Hera006 – I try not to hate at all. But, I have to say, I'm really starting to hate some of the ridiculous points of view some express on this website. I think 1/2 of the people here are just trying to get a rise out of others. It's getting a little pathetic.

  55. 55

Re: libgirl – What do you think you're trying to do with your liberal beliefs?

  56. 56

Re: BlancheD – You're being outright ridiculous. Someone does not hide their hate behind their beliefs in God. I do not "hate" a gay person, I merely do not expressed the same beliefs. I do not look down upon a gay person, because it is their right to be who they are. I simply have my views based upon what God has spoken and since I believe in the entire work of the Bible, I choose to believe what God has said. You have a free will to do as you choose, and I have the same. My message is not one of hate, but free will.

It would do you good to represent yourself with better language. More people would take you seriously and then possibly listen to YOUR BELIEFS. I cannot get past your hate and strong language and I don't think many other do as well.

  57. 57

Re: libgirl – wellsaid, hon. The "Strength Of A Woman" is decidedly apparent in your comment.

  58. 58

Re: BlancheD – I fully agree… we're on a gossip website, A GOSSIP WEBSITE, discussing a truly complex issue… we really can't expect to be enlightened by anyone! :)

  59. 59

Re: Sassy Girl – I love how you put that.. very true.

  60. 60

Re: Seriously – If your 14 year old son turns out to be gay, I hope that you will put your ignorance aside and love him as God has taught us.

  61. 61

attention christians!! god doesn't give a fucking shit about any of you! do you really think an all mighty, all knowing, perfect being would have anything to do with ignorant, sinfull, souless people?… because i know you have no souls. just like you "know" i am "going to hell", i KNOW you idiots have no souls, no spirits, there is NOTHING inside of you. and when you die, you will cease to exist.

  62. 62

I'll be Dobson didn't take a paycut to help keep some of those people.

  63. 63

Re: JuliaGulia – You're being outright ridiculous! I don't know a living person on this planet who has heard 1 word spoken by God.

  64. 64

Re: Booshka – You're putting words in my mouth. God mentions the sanctity of marriage in the book of Corintheans. Look it up. You didn't have to wait for me to "research" my bible because I've read and understand it. I never once mentioned God hated gay people… He shares the same love of them as He does me. God says that a sin is a sin and he believes homosexuality is a sin… I didn't once say I made it that way. He doesn't hate the sinner, he hates the sin.

  65. 65

    Re: Booshka
It is quoted in Corintheans 11:11.
    Also Romans 1:18

  66. 66

Re: BlancheD – Then you must not be listening. Or asking.

Careful stepping on the God thing. That is just wrong, IMHO.

  67. 67

Re: Sassy Girl – You be careful yourself. I don't believe what you believe. End of conversation.

  68. 68

Re: JuliaGulia – Persecuted for His names sake.

It's all good. It's tough to maneuver sometimes, I know.

  69. 69

Re: BlancheD – I never intended to change your beliefs and you OBVIOUSLY don't understand mine. You're incredibly unintelligent if you thought I meant God spoke those words to me directly. He spoke them to the writers of the bible. If you understand the bible, and you obviously don't, every person who wrote the bible wrote each passage through what God was telling them and I don't mean He was standing next to them as they penned their chapters… He had his own way of getting His words across (whether that be through a person's mind, heart, etc.) This is what the bible says, not what I say.

I know you won't understand this and think it's ridiculous and that's your preogative. I chose to believe in God and you chose not to. Simple as that.

  70. 70

for the record true Christians who have a relationship with Jesus Christ as their savior and actually read their Bible and do not change scripture to fit their needs or lifestyle DO NOT hate gays, its the act, to be specific the sexual act. So if you dont want to be judged you need to stop judging as well!

  71. 71

Re: BlancheD – Regardless of whether you believe in God or not, it still doesn't give you any reason to be disrespectful and rude to those who do. You want to be respected for YOUR own personal beliefs, right? Don't you think everyone else wants the same thing you do?

  72. 72

Re: BlancheD – If you don't care what someone else believes in then why are you asking someone to believe in what YOU believe in. It's amazing how condescending you are. End of story.

  73. 73

Re: JuliaGulia – Well said! I agree God ordained marriage between a man and a woman and we don't have the right to re-define or change it to suit the gays or anyone else, and even if the world and it's so-called "values" change GOD and His laws still don',!and just because we don't condone homosexuality or support same-sex "marriage" doesn't make us "haters" :bigots" "homophobes",etc… I don't agree with it either yet I still had 2 gay friends! It seems the gays who preach diversity and tolerance are the MOST *intolerant* of ALL, esp. regarding those who challenge them!It has turned into a sort of Homo-fascism,and a "Hetero-phobe" where they try to silence everyone who disagrees with them, and are disorderly and intolerant of those who support Prop8 and traditional marriage, and they simply refuse to accept the final vote. Not everyone is happy Obama won either, but they're not rioting and protesting in the streets and vandalizing or beating people up over it! A vote is a vote. The gays want to force everyone to agree with and accept them yet they are not very tolerant of other beliefs, particularly Christians, who disagree with them! They seem to think civil rights, equality, freedom of speech and the like are ok as long as it agrees with THEM…

  74. 74

God didn't speak anything to the writers of the bible.. they took stories that they had heard passed down through generations and turned it in to a story in order to make people do what they wanted or else "they'd go to hell" - they cut out many stories that didn't fit exactly what they wanted the book to say.. it's no different than any other cult - it's just older and more 'accepted'

  75. 75

    God didn't speak = God didn't say… fuckin blonde moment…

  76. 76

Re: JuliaGulia – Well said!!! and thank you. I am so tired of these people saying that I spread hate. I dont hate gay people. I dont like how they live BUT that is their choice. I will not tell my children that the bible endorses this. My bible says this is wrong! That doesn't make me hate people. Just like any other sin stealing, adultry, lies and so on. Where did they get this idea that it is okay to lie and say we hate!!! I am not morman but I think that it is sad that a group of people have spread so many lies about a Church. That is hate. I totally think that this is a unresolved issue and this will probley split the country before this is over perhaps The gay community should get their own country and make their own rules and laws. Since they are having such a hard time with the majority wins. Then they can battle and lie about people and bully someone to believe what they believe in.

  77. 77

funny perez has yet 2 report that morom churches have been recieving envelopes with white powder in them… luckily they have been non toxic
see what you've encited perez… terrorisim… hope you're happy with yourself.

  78. 78

Re: Sassy Girl – How true! Jesus said He was persecuted and so will His followers be as "the slave is not above the Master" and that a friend of the world is an enemy to God! It's like my husband always says "You must be doing something right if people are against you and are offended!" it means we are IN the world but not OF the world, and even if it seems we're the only ones out there and everyone is against us,we're doing the right thing standing up for God and defending His Word, and it takes courage! It can be hard but it shows we're on the right side, and in Heaven we will be rewarded with a "Well done, good and faithful servant!" :) The Bible states 2/3 of the world(people) will be lost….which will WE be….the 2/3 or the 1/3?

  79. 79

What goes around, comes around. Couldn't be happier. Hopefully they'll close.

  80. 80

Liberals all the most open-minded people, UNTIL you disagree with them. It is appalling that Perez referred to the Christian Focus on the Family organization as "one of the largest hate groups in America". They clearly explains their beliefs, with Biblical support. Christians are just as entitled as homosexuals to have strong beliefs about something! Christians are taught to treat everyone equally, everyone with love and respect. This does not mean we have to condone gay marriage, because the Bible teaches us that PRACTICING homosexuality is wrong, NOT that being a homosexual is wrong. However, God makes it perfectly clear that WE ARE ALL sinners, and all sinners can repent and be forgiven for their sins. I'm a heterosexual female, but I've done plenty of things that are not pleasing in God's eyes. I have gay friends, and I love them to death. I am no better or worse than they are. However, I believe that marriage should be between a man and a woman. Homosexuals have every legal right that heterosexuals do, but marriage is not simply a "right"…it's an institution that homosexuals want us to redefine to suit their lifestyle. I don't believe in it, but that doesn't make me a hate monger, and it's hateful to call me one.

  81. 81

Oh, and to wrap things up, I'll take a quote from the "Largest Hate Group in America" website: "I feel strongly that Christians have a scriptural mandate to love and care for all the people of the world. Everyone is entitled to be treated with respect and dignity, even those who are living in immoral circumstances. There is no place for hatred, hurtful jokes, or other forms of rejection toward those who are homosexual. We cannot hope to win others to Jesus Christ if we insult and wound them."

  82. 82

Re: Al Zack – Hey Stupid….so is McCain

  83. 83

Re: Pogue Mahone – so.. if you're all for child pornography, or animal abuse.. you're doing the right thing because people are against you and offended? that's a stupid statement…

  84. 84

Re: JuliaGulia – Hate to tell you this…God did not write the bible. And why do you care what other people do. Why is it your business. How will gays being married change your life? Why are you threatened by this. Have you heard about separation between Church and State? You're a bigot and a racist…but that's ok…right? You're tirade makes absolutely no sense.

  85. 85

and it is also God's will to BAN prop 8!!! im so sick of you perez, seriously get over it! your not always going to have everything the way you would like it. maybe this site should be changed from " queen of all media" to " lets whine about ban on prop 8" fricking annoying!!!

  86. 86

Re: Pogue Mahone – Christ followers have gotten a bad rap. Some of it may be warranted, but certainly not all. There are bad apples within all groups. People tend to assume things about people (as I have done myself!) and it's tough. It's tough to be percieved as being "hateful", especially when people don't really hear the whole story, they just attack. I know what the Bible says. And I personally believe in it. But that's all anyone wants to hear. They don't want to hear about the sermon on the mount, when Jesus basically said, yea, it's wrong to murder, but by the way, it's just as wrong to be angry and call someone an idiot!! So I'm screwed right there! I do know that there are a lot of radicals out there that have totally forgotten (or ignored) those particular parts of the Bible. And they've forgotten that Jesus did love. He hung out with folks that nobody else would've. And to God, we are all filthy. So, once again, like I've said before about politics and other things, we are all in the same boat. I TRY not to judge, cause I know that's how God will judge me. And if that's not enough, when I announce my faith, I am then representing Him. So, if I get hateful, judgmental, and act like a total idiot, then folks who see me, and don't know Him, view Him as I am behaving. All I know for certain is that we are ALL lucky that He is a merciful God. I know I'm going to need it!

  87. 87

Re: Bekkie – You are taking that statement somewhat out of context. I'm just saying!

Put down those stones, Pat Robertson! Didn't your god specifically tell you not to judge???? God loves gays, she told me so herself!!!

Re: Bekkie – No, I meant when I speak up on behalf of the Bible and people are against me and get offended(Personally I think some people NEED to be offended; it's their conscience telling them what they're doing is wrong).Of course I don't approve of porn, but it seems most of the world does think it's ok,so I'm still on the other side, either way! :)

I don't think I did.. to quote directly "You must be doing something right if people are against you and are offended!" - regardless of what you do, there will always be people against you, and there will always be someone offended (whether it be a halloween costume, a belief, a statement..) - so does that mean you're always doing something right? no.. I have no problem with people believing in their God, that's their choice - but to believe that man was created in the image of God, and that Jesus preached love and acceptance.. and then in the same breath say 'being a homosexual is okay.. but BEING a (practicing) homosexual is wrong' is absolutely rediculous.. and that only 1/3 of the people on earth will make it to 'heaven' - and the other 2/3 will live in an inferno where they suffer extreme pain for eternity? Hell's gonna be bitchin! see ya'll there!

To say that God did not create marriage is one of the most laughable statements I've ever read on this site. God's views on marriage go back even further than what He says about it in the new testament. Are we forgetting the first example of marriage ever? God created Adam, then said it was not good for man to be alone, then created Eve. They were the first example of husband-and-wife to ever exist and God created them, so how can you argue that God did not create marriage?

And while the bible may not specifically say marriage is between one man and one woman, it refers numerous times to a husband and a wife in terms of marriage. Never two wives or two husbands…

    Re: Hera006
    well-said.
as i'm sure many of you know, focus on the family is not a gay hate group. but who expects perez to know that when he is so self-absorbed, ignorant and blogging up his butt all day long?
GET OVER IT. AMERICA DOESN'T WANT GAY MARRIAGE. EVER.

  93. 93

Yep.. god created adam and eve.. who had 2 sons.. cain and able.. cain killed able.. then god cast him out (with a protective bubble so no one could kill him.. although.. who could possibly kill him.. it was just the 3 of them left right?? NOPE! there was a wife waiting for him! so he could make a whole damn city.. just the 2 of em!)
real believable story - I'll stick with my dino bones thanks.

thank you for this Biblical example. :) unfortunately it's sometimes so difficult to argue the Bible with many people who don't even believe its MAIN message in the first place — forgiveness and salvation.
this site is wearing on me… perez is a wolf in sheep's clothing, exactly what God warns about in the last days. his heart may already be hardened and headed for hell… but let's pray he doesn't lead others astray and continue to misrepresent the Creator and Almighty Lord. what a fool.

11 Abraham replied, "I said to myself, 'There is surely no fear of God in this place, and they will kill me because of my wife.' 12 Besides, she really is my sister, the daughter of my father though not of my mother; and she became my wife.

yeah - sleeping with your sister is much better than 2 guys or 2 girls together

Re: Bekkie – Where did those bones come from?

  98. 98

Re: Bekkie – They do that a lot here. Pain in the ass it is.

  99. 99

Re: Bekkie – Unfortunately you missed my point entirely. It was simply to acknowledge out that the first example of marriage ever recorded was designed by God between a man and a woman, not to point out who did what wrong and which actions are better or worse than others. We are all responsible for the decisions we make, as was Abraham. It certainly does not mean that it was the right decision or that God endorsed it…

Re: ppphhhttt – I agree, they obviously put their money where their priorities are. Too bad.
