We assume Jennifer Aniston was booked on Thursday's 30 Rock to help its ratings.
But, turns out, she did the opposite!
The Maniston episode was the season's lowest rated show to date, according to reports.
Only 7.5 million tuned in to see the bitter Man do her thing.
Hope your new movie (which hits theaters the exact same day as Brad's new flick!) fares better than your TV appearance, Jenny!

I don't know what your problem with Jennifer Aniston is Perez, but it's really fucked up. She seems like a really nice person, and has a COMPLETELY legitimate reason to be pissed off at 'Brangelina'. She's beautiful, talented, and seems like a really nice person. For a gay guy, you're extremely sexist. If a woman doesn't have a serious relationship for a few years, she's 'desperate' or 'unlucky in love'; if a man doesn't, he's a 'playa'. It's really fucked up double standards and I would have thought that as a gay man you would have more empathy for sexist behaviour. Leave Jen alone! Focus on someone who is actually a douche. By the way, I watched her on 30 Rock and she was great, and I'm not a huge Aniston fan, I'm just saying she seems nice, and certainly not deserving of the shit you lay on her.

I watched. I thought she was great. Very funny. What's your issue with Jen? I don't get it. She was asked a specific question and responded with the same answer I would have. It WAS very uncool of Angelina to publicly make the comment she made and totally unnecessary. And I like Angelina… but come on… have some consideration for others feelings, especially in such a high profile media storm. It comes down to class and humanity.
As much as I like Jen over Jolie Homewreckalina, I must admit both her and Brad's careers are on the decline, and Wreckalina's career isn't far behind. Jen has a better chance at recovery than Brad, though (damn, he's aged 10 years!).

I love Jennifer Anniston. She's fabulous. Her only problem is she shouldn't focus on only dating famous guys. She needs to find some hot man who will adore her. Look at Halle Berry and her model boyfriend. Jenn needs to find someone like that and not waste her time on these hollywood losers.

The critics love it while most people just don't get it(They, like you would rather watch Paris' BFF or Charm School) ..30 Rock is the Best show on T.V.! What Perez isn't telling you is that the 30 Rock season premier on October 30th had _the highest ratings EVER for the show. This is because of teh "Palin effect".

The 2nd episode omn November 6th had less high ratings — Oprah was in it, but the "Palin effect was starting to wear off a bit.

The 3rd episode last Thursday, with Aniston as the guest star did not have "the highest ratings ever" for the show, like the 1st episode did — and teh Palin effect has continued to sibside — but it had higher ratings than many of the previous shows when you look at Seasons 1 and 2, along with the 3 eps of Season 3 that have aired so far.

the saddest thing about all of this is that Perez was supposed to be someone who could give us a behind the scenes look at this celebrity world..kind of like an ambassador for the non-celebrity but I think he has lost touch with the reality of his audience. His off the mark comments about celebrities like Aniston are egregious and make him seem as if he is jealous of the charmed lives they live…and I don't think that how most of us feel or want to be represented. Last night's episode, featuring Jennifer Aniston, and, as an added bonus for fans of vintage NBC Thursdays, a Night Court cast reunion, was watched by a season-low 7.5 million, Nielsen estimates report.
The show's previous low (8.1 million) came a week ago, when no less than Oprah Winfrey appeared.
Overall, 30 Rock, bolstered more by Tina Fey's rising star than any one guest star, is bigger than ever, averaging 8.1 million through the first three weeks of its season.

i really like jennifer aniston too, i think she is very pretty and she seems like she's pretty down to earth and normal. and i'm on her side as far as angelina being uncool about her and brad. i mean, come on, you are basically admitting that you were with brad during the movie while he was still married and living with his wife. you know, there are some things that shouldn't be said in interviews because it will contradict your actions. i like all the charitable things she does, but i've been cheated on myself, and she really should have thought about that before opening up like that. 4. Jen was awesome! It's not her fault that the ratings didn't go through the roof.

I just saw it and it wasn't that good, but thats my own personal opinion.
But the real queston is, were the ratings, even at their lowest for this season (which only consists of 3 or 4 episodes so far), better than last season's ratings for 30 Rock? It hasn't exactly been a consistently well-rated show.
