Justin Timberlake has been slapped with a lawsuit claiming that the former boy bander doesn't treat employees at his Manhattan eatery fairly!
A busboy is suing Timberlake, saying his New York City barbecue joint didn't pay him a legal wage.
Felipe Ramales alleges in a federal lawsuit filed Friday that he worked for Timberlake's Southern Comfort restaurant for about a year.
The suit says Ramales and other staffers didn't get their proper share of a gratuity charge the restaurant automatically collected from parties with six or more diners. The busboy also says he worked more than 40 hours per week without getting overtime.
A manager at the restaurant says the tip allegations are false, and all staffers made well above the legal minimum wage.
Hmmm….

welcome to the real world! he's not the only one to get buttfucked over a low wage..when you're a peon no one gives a hoot about you, and it's hard to get your way. That's what happens when you no have immigration papers.
This kind of stuff happens all the time in restaurants, especially restaurants that are non-chains. Chains have too much to lose, so generally abide by the rules but there still is shady stuff going on. I once worked a party and peeked at the gratuity while the manager was getting their bill. The grat was $3500 to be split by 6 people. What did we end up with- $100 a piece. The managers exact words, "We're not giving you $500 for pouring wine and serving food for 4 hours. So where exactly did that other $2900 go? Right into the owners pocket, that's where.

Since this is an EX employee I'm inclined to believe the manager. Timberlake wouldn't have anything to do with the day to day running of the restaurant anyways. It's not JT's fault but it's his responsibility as the owner to take care of this matter. He can give the smack down to the manager for his behavior but like many owners, he's not involved in the day to day running of the place.
The restaurant is called SOUTHERN HOSPITALITY not Southern Comfort, which is just a drink. FYI.

Lets face it, working in the food business sucks. I think he just hated being a busboy and is suing Justin because he has tons of cash. It's obviously the manager's fault if he wasn't paid enough or treated right. But at the same time, Justin shouldn't buy a restaurant if he isn't going to make sure it is run properly. I hate how so many celebrities buy restaurants just because they think it sounds cool to say they own a restaurant.
As far as crappy minimum wage jobs are concerned, if people weren't so damn lazy then we wouldn't need any of them. If people cleaned up after themselves at a restaurant then we wouldn't need busboys. Or God forbid we didn't have restaurants at all and people had to cook their own food.
