Boycotting Sundance is one of the worst things you could do right now! I live in Utah and Park City is the most liberal place in Utah. What the Mormon Church did was a shitty thing; I am not trying to argue that point. What I am trying to point out is that Sundance brings so many new ideas to Utahans every year. It helps to bring up views that need to be discussed and it is a time where a lot of up tight Utahans are exposed to other viewpoints. Instead of turning our back to the Mormons we need to help them understand why their way of thinking is hurtful and help them change.

Now it sounds like you're just trying to find someone to blame, Perez. What happened was terrible, but you can't really blame just one group of people. Many different types of citizens of different ethnicities and religions voted in favor of Prop. 8. It's saddening and ridiculous, but it happened. The next step is to figure out a way to combat it. You should try using your blog and your notoriety to educate those people, rather than pointing fingers (sorry, but that's really not going to change anything at all). You have a resource that none of us have and the ability to reach thousands upon thousands of people. Use it wisely!
