Some of the nastiness and hate that is displayed here makes me realize how love shouldn't be second class, but how hate should be. People of the bible really should understand where god says one thing somewhere, he does say the whole bit about doing unto others as you would have them do unto you…and many other countless contradictions. Why do you pick one or two to agree or disagree with something. I have a Seventh Day Adventist friend who educates me on hte bible, little did I know all sins are equal. Jesus brought with him the message that you don't need religious leaders to establish a relationship with God. It surprised me that Prop. 8 passed but I have to respect the fact that this is what Californians wanted. It really makes me sick to think that the Gay community says that the supporters of Prop 8's VOTES DO NOT COUNT and should be BULLIED into changing their minds. Why is the whole community in an uproar, Prop 8 is about wording not rights…Under California law, “domestic partners shall have the same rights, protections and benefits” as married spouses. (Family Code §297.5.) There are no exceptions.

Besides, the Bible is irrelevant. In this country, we separate church and state. That was one of the most-important things to the founding fathers. I went to support today in Orlando! There was such a good turnout. I was excited to see so many people coming together on such an important issue! Also just knowing that this was happening all over Fl and the rest of the US in important places like New York, Cali, and D.C. was unbelievable! I hope this shows that we are not willing to give up our rights and that there are many more people that are affected and care about our rights, gay and straight alike. The speakers were wonderful and inspiring. Hope the other protests were just as enthralling!
