Could the future hold a Tony or two for South Park creators, Trey Parker and Matt Stone?
The brilliant and twisted duo is working with Avenue Q co-creator Jeff Marx on a Broadway musical called Mormon Musical.
This should definitely cause lots of CONTROVERSY, especially now with all the heat on the Mormon leadership for their anti-gay rights ways.
Rehearsals start in December and it's expected to hit the Great White Way in 2009.
Also, Broadway star Cheyenne Jackson is set to star in the musical.

Y'all need to get your facts straight. I'm mormon and one of the biggest "myths" is that mormons believe in Polygamy. That is a big fat lie, I'm a mormon and I'll be damned if my hubby has more than one wife! I have a lot of gay friends/family members and I love each and every one of them with all my heart. But I still believe that marriage is for a man and a woman.

They think that South American's are genetically related to Israelites. Completely disproven by Science. They believe that the statue on the Temple is going to come to life on the day of reckoning. Etc. Etc. Etc. This religion is way more dangerous than Scientology, in my opinion.

I can't believe people are ragging on Orgasmo. And what? No mention of "Cannibal! the musical"? You'd think the comparison would have been obvious! Come on, people! And the brilliance of Orgasmo was that while the characters were BEYOND ham, the "good guys" were treated lovingly…if you don't empathize with the protagonist and their allies then you don't give a shit about the plot. The more absurd you portray them, the less important the thing they are a characture of becomes. In Arizona, we have a newspaper cartoonist, Benson, whose family goes way back in the LDS Church, including one of it's presidents. His editorial cartoons in the Arizona Republic have offended me more than once, but I admire that in him. You should see what he does to the Church. If one of their own, excommunicated or not, can nail them, why not others who aren't?
