Ted Kennedy Is Back!

After undergoing surgery for a cancerous brain tumor, Senator Edward M. Kennedy is ready to return to work.
He released the following statement today, Monday:
"It's good to be back in the Senate. I am particularly looking forward to seeing my staff and my colleagues and to working in the current brief session on a realistic new stimulus package to help our fellow Americans who are suffering in this economic crisis.
"I will also continue to lay the ground work for early action by Congress on health reform when President Obama takes office in January. We've been making real progress in our discussions about a consensus approach, and I'm optimistic we'll succeed.
"I am grateful for the prayers and good wishes I've received over the past several months. They have certainly lifted my spirits, as has the election of Barack Obama as our 44th President."
There's certainly a lot on his plate to step up to!

While I wish him well, healthwise, he should have been voted out years ago. He was reelected over and over because he was a Kennedy, period. He is one of the many reasons why nothing has been achieved over the past 40 plus years. He is why we need term limits in Congress. Change will never happen unless we eliminate the job of career politician.

Props to Teddy. That Chappaquidick incident was 40 years ago. He's worked on the hill for 46 years serving the citizens of the U.S. to make amends. I guess some on here will never know the meaning of forgiveness. He's a bulldog, and works tirelessly behind the scenes. Those that dis need to ask themselves what they've done to make the U.S. a better place. Snide bitching doesn't count.
