Hollywood's looking to make some money on the back of 'change'!
Lo and behold, NBC is developing a comedy based on the book Making Friends With Black People, reports Variety.
The show will be formulated as a buddy comedy focusing on the state of race relations in the U.S.
The story will center on two guys — one African-American and one white — who become close friends, but who don't necessarily see things the same way.
The book's author, Nick Adams, said, "From time to time, race bubbles up in the consciousness of the country and then dissipates. Now, with Obama, people are talking about race a lot more. We hope to capitalize on that and not let the dialogue die down. … It seemed like a good opportunity to strike while the iron is hot."

Family Matters had Lieutenant Murtah and other idiot white guys, Moving On Up had the dumb brother in law, Everybody Hates Chris has the white horrible bully and the weird principal (George from Seinfeld). I really don't think that's very P.C. at all, but whatever. And those were just to name a few!!! I could find more but those came off the top of my head.

I understand this. However, I do agree with some of what the original person (you said he plagiarized someone) said. I was in African American Lit, and someone asked me (one of the two white people in the room), "Do you feel bad about slaveowners?" I just stared at this guy. I was like, "ummm, and why are you asking ME this? I wasn't there, I didn't do anything wrong, some of my good friends growing up were black. Furthermore, why do you have the right to ask me that? I think people forget this. People feel as if they have the right to become people who have been long dead. No one here has suffered being whipped from slavery, and I think it is absurd to look at eachother with this awful animosity.

I wish people would get over the race issue, there are issues on all sides and most of the time I think the African Americans set themselves apart from everyone else. I wish for once they would forget about slavery, as far as I know there aren't any slaves in the US and hasn't been for years. For all that spue he threw out about going to change Washington and business as usual, it seems he is going right back to the Clinton era as half of the people have been there for years he is surrounding himself with. So much for change, but I'm giving him the benefit of the doubt now.
