Can I just say that Gareth Pugh is the man to blame for this. The dress Beyonce is wearing up top is from his Spring/Summer 2009 line, and he also designed the metal glove she's been wearing. In other words, Gareth Pugh is pretty much dressing Beyonce, she's not copying Rihanna, she's pimping Pugh's gothic aesthetic.

Pugh's aesthetic isn't gothic. It's futuristic in a slightly Mugler-esque way. And he's not dressing Beyonce. She's being styled in his clothes. There is a difference. Likewise, you can't say that Gareth is 'to blame' for Beyonce's newly acquired cyborg look and either way, Beyonce shouldn't be wearing Gareth Pugh. It's not built for people like her and Mandi Lennard should know better than to lend it out to anyone with a record deal. And finally, it's the aw08 collection, not the ss09 collection.
