      Technology is great, but I think the robot thing is a little weird. What about human interaction? To me, that's part of being taken care of.

      Most elderly have dementia and nobody thinks a robot could freak out a demented elderly person??!!?!?!!?!?!? Good luck getting a Hug or Kiss from a robot!!!!!! The robots would be better in a ER or something……

      omg a user can jump on the robot and pick up a dropped remote? fuck that shit, what if someone you dont' want to get on there get the robot to "pull the plug" i see issues, anything that is connected through the internet can be hacked, ANYTHING

      i don't think people will be able to afford such a thing. even so if the demand is there they can be mass-produced and the cost will come down. remember when computers used to cost $5000? Now they're only $300 or so. Oh by the way, there's also electric wheelchairs being tested for the elderly and Alzheimer's patients because not all elderly people can push manual chairs so yeah, there's hope yet for when we all are in need of such wonderful technology. :D

      elderly, sick people are lonely enough as it is…now scientists are trying to come up with ways to get rid of the need for human interaction??
