THE MTA PROVIDES HORRIBLE SERVICE!!! THEY CHARGE $2.00 EACH WAY AND WERE RECENTLY GOING TO CHARGE US NEW YORKERS $3.00 BUT THAT WAS NIXED. TRAINS ARE RARELY ON-TIME AND BUSES ARE USUALLY NEVER ON SCHEDULE. THEY WANT MONEY BACK FROM THE PASSENGERS THAT USE THE SERVICE BECAUSE OF BAD PROPERTY INVESTMENTS THAT WERE MADE ON BEHALF OF THE MTA. WTF??? NEW YORKERS NEED TO BOYCOTT THE MTA TRAINS AND BUSES IF POSSIBLE FOR A DAY OR TWO SO THAT THEY CAN SEE HOW MUCH THEY NEED THE RIDERS TO SURVIVE. THIS SUCKS ASS BIG TIME!

one of the most famous cities in the world, modern and cultured. The state of the subways are embarrassing!! the stations look and smell like shit. Overcrowded and there is always a problem. I just dont understand how they can make so much money (God knows they're not spending money on improving the system) and still somehow find a way screw over the working class.

I am so sick of the MTA. What ever happened to that book showing a surplus of money? Hmmm. Almost every day there is something wrong with the trains and they have the nerve to talk about a fare increase. If this shit happens I am totally boycotting. It will be walking or biking to work day. The subway is dirty, overcrowded, unreliable and inconvenient. Oh yeah and they are cutting back on service that is already shitty.There are still stations that you have to get off the train to transfer to another one and PAY AGAIN! because there is no underground transfer. We really need to stop taking this shit and if they raise fares boycott!!! As for laying people off, good if they do nothing we should not pay their salaries
This really isn't anything new, the Chicago CTA went through this just a year ago because of underfunding. We called it the countdown to Doomsday…..but at the last minute the governor funded it and gave seniors free rides.
hey maybe just stop all subways, fire all employees, and problem solved. It's only a matter of time before they stop 24 hr service, then only have weekday service, then…..
ugh I can barely afford my monthly subway card as it is. I hope they don't raise our prices…
