CAringbridge is a wonderful website for families of sick patients. A friend recently died from lung cancer, but she was on caringbridge….her family updated all of us (so we didnt feel that we were intruding) and we all posted thoughts prayers and memories for the family.

Imagine having to call all your friends and family with every change that your critically sick child was going through. It is nearly impossible. This site allows you to post pictures and updates as to the status of your sick child. People can come and log on when ever they want an update and you dont have to keep running out of the ICU to take a million phone calls. They are AWESOME!!!!

Caringbridge is an amazing site. I've been sick for the past three years with lyme disease and I haven't been able to leave my house because of it. My mom made me a caringbridge website and its been really nice because that's the only contact I have with others.

I just want to hug that baby she is holding!

I agree. This is a worthwile cause. A the husband of a friend of mine is going through cancer treatments for inoperable tumors. It has been a great way to stay informed without feeling intrusive when they are already exhausted. Also it is nice that we can post words of encouragement for them to help them get through the rough days.

I, too, have been grateful for caringbridge.com. A friend of mine has a mother who is in the fight of her life with cancer and we are able to read about her journey. I will definitely be donating!!

Wonder Dog *loves* caring bridge. My niece has two girls who have a rare ailment. It's been good getting updates through CB…. and I have gotten to know other families by visiting their pages too.

This site is wonderful. A very good friend had terminal cancer and she woudl blog about how she was doing, what she would miss, what she hoped and dreamed for her kids, grandkids, the world. She was able to say goodbye without having the pressure and stress of calling everyone, and worrying about whether she left anyone out or hurt people's feelings.

Her friends and family posted encouraging words to her and we all shared our favorite stories about her on there for her to laugh with us about without having to be "on" all the time.

It was a blessing and a wonderful tribute to her life that we can still visit to remember her.

Thanks for finally posting something meaningful!

I'm with the others here. CaringBridge is a wonderful site and resource for families with members who are ill. My sister has had an account since the birth of her son, now 3 years old. He was born with barely any kidney function and a host of other issues as well. This is the best way she has to let us all know how the little angel is doing as well as post pictures of him as he grows.

perez thank you for putting this up here
caring bridge is an amazing website.
my sister was recently diagnosed with cancer and lives in san diego. im going to school in san francisco and am not able to be with her, but this site helps so many of us be able to talk to her and support her from far away. This is also a great place to inform people what's going on so you don't have everybody you know calling you for an update
    thanks again

    Excellent!
My best friends son just passed away a couple of weeks ago from lung cancer. 15 years old! Its hard to be going through that and have to repeat the same story, and rehash pain over and over when they are trying to spend the remaining time with thier family.
Caringbridge allows the family to have a website they can upload pictures to, and a daily journal they can update when they are feeling up to it.
Family and friends can log on and leave encouraging messages.
It was such a wonderful help during thier very hard time.

Way to go Perez… this website made life easier for those wonderful people.
    Thank you

CaringBridge is a wonderul website! A friend of mine's baby boy had meningitis and was put in a medically-induced coma due to constant seizures and this website was so helpful to her and all of us. It's a great way to keep everyone updated & informed and as a form of support for the family- this is definitely another worthy cause!
Thanks Perez for noticing it and calling it out to your many, many readers!!

Wow, Perez, I'm shocked… you're posting about something that is acutally a WONDERFUL thing that more people should care about.

My sister uses CaringBridge for her daughter (my niece) who was diagnosed w/cancer a couple of years ago. It's a great website that helps offer support to families who are dealing w/the illness of a loved one. I am so thankful for this website. I know it has been a great source of comfort and a stress reliever in helping my sister cope w/her daughter's cancer. It was a way for my sister to vent her fears, concerns, pleads for prayers, etc. Everyone should support this website!!!!!!

    Kudos Perez!!!
