Perez, I think your taking it a bit far. Just because someone voted YES on Prop 8, doesn't mean they are anti gay. A lot of people that voted YES are protecting the definition of marriage that is derived from the Bible that states it is between a man and a woman. Most didn't vote YES because they hate gay people. I'm sure some did, but most just want to protect the definition of marriage. If we try to change the definition of marriage, what else are we going to change??? I think Civil Unions should be given the same rights as marriage, therefore gay people can be recognized under the law with the same rights as married couples but your just not using the terminology "marriage."

This is silly Perez. The people who voted yes on 8 are not necessarily "haters" like you say. It's kind of like supporting our troops without supporting the war. Many people do not have a problem with the gay community but do not support same sex marriage.
i just emailed cinemark telling them that i fully support their company and will continue to support their venues despite all the hype the gay community is trying to bring against them. i think that it is ridiculous that some people are targeting any company based on an employees personal beliefs, donations to a cause or voting record.

I have worked for Cinemark since I was 16. I am 22 now and very disappointed in the company that I work for because of this. However, they are entitled to their opinion and I don't believe that the money came from Cinemark, did it? They don't represent me or my morals. You can boycott them if you like.
But I think it would be more important if you saw the movie and understand what it stands for. Equality for everyone and freedom of choice.
Exercise your freedoms and boycott if you want to! Or choose not to. It's up to you.
