Cute pig
cute lil piggies
awwe…leave the pig alone!!!
WHAT ABOUT THE COWS??????????????
…Perez. I am SO tired of you picking on Lindsay Lohans Dad. He may be a pig, but give him a break. "Bless The Beasts ANd Children"!
Aww what a cute little pig!!
you got something against cows?
So how will it cost me to Fed Ex you down Perez?
Re: Wanna Milk Me Thinks You're a Douche – lol
do NOT support this charity. So they raise the pigs as pets, kinda like a dog, love them, take care of them, earn the pigs respect and trust and then sell them, for what? To be killed and slaughtered? Very nice. They couldn't find another way to help these poor people then to make an innocent animal their scapegoat? You, Perez, should be ashamed of yourself to post this crap on your site. Do you realize that pigs are just as intelligent as dogs and make equally great companions as dogs. This charity is sick and I will do whatever I need to do to discredit it.
Find another way, raise crops or something else. Beans are a good source of protein. How could these people live with themselves when they sell those poor little pigs to be killed. It takes a "special" kind of person to be able to do that. They are all heartless greedy people masquerading as a charity but are really just animal killers when you come down to the bottom line.
awwwwww perez was a cute baby, too bad he out grown his cuteness.
Raise them and then kill them. Sweet. They should try growing peanuts and soybeans, an excellent source of protein without the trauma of the slaughter for the children. Duh.
Re: FS – I wrote my reply w/out eading yours but you make the same point as I do. Crops. Crops reseed themselves and stave off famine and allow a good living for a lifetime. Perez needs to rethink this post.
SO do they also get to watch when daddy slaughters their piggies for money? Just askin'
I don't like this charity. Animal agriculture is wasteful and is part of the reason we have starving children in the first place. It takes 10 pounds of grain to produce one pound of animal meat…why not just eat the 10 pounds of grain and skip the middle man? Perez has highlighted much more worthwhile organizations in past posts so please donate to them and not this one.
I've worked with this charity and know about Heifer International too - pigs are a great way to help starving people survive. Kudos to Pigs for Kids for making a difference and helping these kids go to school.
Re: Shaniqua973 – fuck you ignorant asshole
SEND PIGEZ to a starving child!
woah-that pig looked like a deformed baby for a second.
Ask money to the Mormons, they got it !
I dont support this. Why cant we send them giant cans of ravioli. You know they are going to kill that poor piggy. send them crazy palins alasken turkeys.
Didn't your Mom start the raising pigs program after you were born?
Re: FS – Agree 100%
Re: FS – Clearly, you are the ignorant one. Reading may do you some good little Canadian girl. These pigs aren't pets, they're farm animals in a 3rd world country. They're not fed PetCo packaged foods, taught to do tricks and sleep at the end of the bed. They are raised, organically mind you, on rural family farms as livestock. I understand if you have a problem with corporate conglomerate industrial sized "farms" that pump out meat as a product, but family farms! That's moronic. I'd love to see you tell the poor folk in Nicaragua to eat vegetarian. Pigs are very inexpensive to raise, mainly because they feed on rotted food and don't take away the family's supply. Crops you say!? Yeah, because all the poor people in 3rd world countries are mass land owners and can afford seed, farming equipment, and labor. Not to mention that this ingenious project is not about pigs, it's about the education of children that would otherwise never go to school. Vital education that will allow Nicaraguans to come up with their own economically sustainable projects, or even their own educated opinions on whether eating meat is morally permissible. It takes a "special" person like yourself to not educate themselves on the topic their speaking about.
Re: DrReese –
I agree!
Re: DrReese – Thank you for being so intelligent and explaining this so well.
this is a disgusting and cruel charity. Do not donate any money to them. killing animals is evil and pigs are just as intelligent as dogs and other household pets. animals can feel pain and when they are killed for their meat, they are usually alone, shaking and suffer terribly. perez i am surprised you would post this on your site considering you are against fur and animal suffering. im disgusted.
Nice. Get these poor little kids attached to the pig, only to have it grow up and have daddy make bacon out of it.
Uh-huh, not cool.
Maybe I should just support Paris and her foundation for helping drunken elephants instead.
Re: DrReese – FUCK! Look up the big brain on you!
We should be careful when trying to uplift one oppressed group on the back of another oppressed group.
you should look a little further into this cause. this is disgusting. innocent pigs do not deserved to be killed. youre an idiot perez.
Although I am a vegetarian I do support this charity. I travelled to Nicaragua in May of 2008 and have been changed ever since. Not everyone in the world, especially those who live in a 3rd world nation, subscribe to the dietary lifestyles that many people, like myself, do. I do not believe in the disgusting ways in which major companies treat and kill their animals, but the people of Nicaragua and the people in the villages like Wasala, or Sutiava and Leon (which i visited) need to make an income any way possible to allow their children a fair education. Not every nation and not every child in the world have education, and people have to take notice that things must be done to begin the process of giving children this education. So, allow these families to raise the pigs, sell them, and allow these kids an education. Don't be so mindless and believe everyone needs to follow your dietary restrictions. Don't be so foolish and stop putting a pig in front of the well being of a child. If your child was starving and had no schooling I think you would sell a pig. Until you understand the other side, don't go bashing this charity that is actually allowing a movement to occur in a nation you probably have never been to.
