   Yes these people need help but not with food donations. They need to be taught basic skills like making clothing so they can support themselves like everyone else. Each country had to start somewhere, then from there they can grow. Throwing food at them will only encourage them to continue living like they are now, and continue reproducing.

    Excuse me, i never said to eliminate anyone, Miss I-Like-To-Twist-Words-Around-To-Fit-My-Miserable-Excuse-For-An-Argument. I said she shouldn't have had kids, and I am tired of hearing her moan about her money not going far enough. Meanwhile, she had a scholarship to a college when she was 17, but instea decided to get pregnant by drug dealers, the last one having 12 other kids. I NEVER BLAMED THE CHILDREN, JUST THEIR MOTHER. Children are born innocent and they should never have had to live in a rat and roach infested apartment like they are in now.

    I never said people should only have one child, and I never said anything about wiping any people's out. I said people need to stop having kids they can't afford. I said people need to stop having too many kids that their region can't support, and I also said that if they only had TWO CHILDREN, BETTER MEDICAL CARE AND MORE FOOD CAN GET TO THEM, AND CAN GET THERI FASTER. As for your little "I hope you never have children comment" I don't plan on giving birth, I plan on adopting, since millions of children on this planet need home. They need a home, I don't need to have a baby. What are you going to do? IVF treatments so you can produce a litter like the no sense dog you are?

    Re: PhaQ – ITA with you. Nobody is saying they shouldn't have any kids,but use a little bit of commen sense. If you have one kid and can't feed it then why the hell have 5 or 6 more and then whine about your kids not having food. You think they would figure out if they cant feed 1 or 2 kids that having 6 or 7 isn't going to help the situation.

    I agree something should be done about this , but what ? It's not about race or money it's about politics . The politics of their government , the politics of our govenment and govenments wolrdwide . The food they need is out there , governments stockpile it . The question is why is it not being shared . Becuase most experts are predicting a worldwide food shortage in the next 10 years , if they give it up now where will it come from when they need it back? It's a very sad situation , and it's just begining .

    No offense to the poor kids of Haiti, but we have starving kids here in the USA. This is what gets us in so much trouble, jumping in to save EVERYONE!. We don't have enough money to help Haiti right now.

    As a parent, this breaks my heart to no end. In all honesty though, these people need to stop breeding. They know the conditions around them. They know what they are bringing their children into. Shame on THEM.

    Okay, maybe what I said was pretty insensitive, but it wasn't ill-thought. The logic behind - prevention, birth control if you, will save a lot of suffering.
    No one should have to be brought into this world to die a slow painful death. And it's very FRUSTRATING to see so many people being so irresponsible with having kids, reproduction.
    And I didn't read the article. I saw the emaciated child and got sick to my stomach, and clicked off the page. I'm not insensitive. In fact, the thought that people actually think I am really bothers me, because I'm the exact opposite.
    .
    I feel for these poor kids. And birth control (or a less sensitive way of putting it,
    "sterilization") would really help to alleviate the problem.
    Along with equal trade. People don't stand a chance if they aren't compensated fairly for their services. And that's where the first-world countries need to step it up.
