i feel the exact same way! i got a tattoo of an om and whenever i told people what it was, they thought i was saying "a gnome," so i just went and added to it, and now it's a gnome holding an om. i also have a tattoo of a bear with a heart-shaped nose. when i'm 80, they'll just be proof that i was once awesome.
More power to him and to each his own. Judging from his tats in the picture he's not worried about regrets!! I'm sure he's not kidding about the "SpongeBob" tattoo.
I wish I could do that. All I do is think of the future. Hence no "my little pony" tattoo that ive always wanted to get. hmph. What are you doin up so early on a saturday btw?

I love Marc Jacobs, but he must going through some kind of mid-life crisis. Post people get their tattooing urges out of the way in their late teens or in their twenties!!!

Tats were the thing back in the day to say"I'm a badass". Now, its just body graffitti. There's eyeball tattooing and genital tattooing for the more extreme.
Now, that stuff is tame. The modern rave is body mutilation. Cut in tats so they cannot be removed. Genital mutilation is heavy for males and females. The trend is toward notching the nostrils and sharpening teeth like pumpkin teeth. Then there's implants and so forth.

love this. i'm behind him 100%. if anything, you will remember you got X done when you were at Y stage in your life. life isn't stagnant. i highly doubt someone can feel identically/consistently passionate about something throughout the duration of their lives.
I agree with this man completely. It actually pisses me off when people ask me "What does your tattoo stand for?" Im like "bitch i don't know. leave me alone." I think I would rather get one for the hell of it rather than spend time thinking of a meaningful one.
