The movie biz is in deep shit-with all that's available online now, not to mention when movies go to DVD they are now available On Demand on the same day.
But Weinstein has been greedy with their DVD releases. They have selected distribution and it's finally biting them in the ass.

If you are laid off, you can collect unemployment insurance. If you strike, you can't. I think they are just doing these people a favor…because I hear rumors of an upcoming strike.

Ha! It's not like the Weinsteins are known for paying very well anyway. They'll just go back to relying on the slaves (AKA trainees) living under the illusion of big names and "industry experience".
