We didn't LOVE it, but it was more than "so so" and just a "like."
The chick that plays Bella was super annoying but Robert Pattinson definitely lives up to the hype. He carries the film - in more ways than one.
We wish the movie was a bit longer, though. But they probably left us wanting more on purpose.

Saw it yesterday, and totally agree! It wasn't as amazing as I had hoped, but I was still very pleased, and Rob just made everything better!
And…what idd you expect from an unknown actor with no cred? It is a tenny bopper wanna be interview with a vampire, pg-13 version……Don't even wast your time……
It was so good I drove a wooden stake thru some poor mutherfuckers heart in the parking lot!

It is a fairly low budget film so i dont have to high expectations but seeing Rob on the big screen will make it all so worthwhile!!!

In the book, the character Bella is annoying too…so I guess it shows on screen as well. But, Rob…aaahhh…sweet sexy Rob. He does not disappoint.

My kid loved the movie..and yeah apparently there is a sequel..although the second book is more gory and dark according to some kids I know…maybe the first movie was a tester to se how far they will go with the second one

yeah kristen stuart was annoying her nostrils are HUGE! the guys that play JASPER and EMMETT were PHENOMENAL! They hit their characters dead on!! I had to see it twice before I liked it.. the first viewing i was like wtf is this? a poor attempt at an indie flick, but now im ok with it. its too short for sure, BUT summit is too low budget, they better team up with someone more professional, and better for the next one because i will retire from my twilight love if the next movie isnt just so-so or ok…

Kristen Stewart was annoyingly pathetic as Bella, and not in a vulnerable, cute way. Her constant twitching and bland emotional delivery of her lines left me wanting to punch her in the face. The movie was horrible the first 45 mins, and then it got good. It could have been a LOT better with a better budget, and director. Some of the flash sequences and voice narrating was seriously cheesy. I really really hope they make a sequel and that it's a million times better.

those are exactly my thoughts too Perez!! Kristen Stewart totally could have done a WAY better job at Bella, she has too much of a deep voice for the part and didn't show enough emotions. Some parts it seemed like she didn't try at all while others seemed that she tried too much, which obvs didn't work for her, but everyone else was AMAZING! and i agree that it could have been longer too.
I went with a crowd of people, and only those that had read the books, including myself, got a lot of the jokes or were laughing uncontrollably at subtle things-like Jaspers "agonizing" performance, or Edwards attempt at controlling himself in Biology, but in turn looking like he needed to vomit profusely.
So, case in point, you'll enjoy the movie at least a little if not a lot if you read the books. Everyone was cast well, except Bella, in our opinion. Plus, it doesn't help her that every interview you see her in she's a wannabe pretentious snob.

i love LOVE love twilight ♥ and did not go see the movie yet. im seeing it tonight. i know the movie will never be as good as the books. im just hoping it wont disappoint me that much. personally i think the trailers look horrible. but i have my fingers crossed that it will be good. oh and i kind of think kristen stewart is a good bella. she was really good in speak.
I though it was the most amazing movie ever if you haven't read the books.. but if you have, then it was still great, just not AS great as you would imagine.

I agree but I think Kristen Stewart (Bella) did an amazing job. Its mostly the screenplay writers fault for making her sound annoying not her acting.
HAHA are you kidding me. That movie was not good at all. It was a step under medocore. The acting was bad. more so on the kid that played Edward. yeah, the chick was nnoying, but her ass was more annoying in the books. Everything seemed thrown together. it was like 100 scene of the same shit but in different settings– the woods, Bella's bedroom, the diner, school. that was either the fault of a bad editor or producer. The existence of these vampires was not believable. The fucking vampire SPARKLED! i mean, why in the hell is a vampire sparkling in the sun. it was too unbelievable. there was no explanation on why this new phenomenon was happing to make viewers understand. it was like the author and the producer was like "fuck it! who cares! they will understand why a vampire is sparkling in the sun and not being caught on fire."
I can't say i was disappointed with the movie because the first book was not any better. it was pretty much 600 pages of "I love you," "no, i love you," "please dont leave me." i know that it is a young adult book, but there could have been more substance. Personally, i did not care for the book. And in my opinion, i thought the movie was a little better than the book, aside from the horrible acting and seemingly lazy editing.

I agree. Bella sucked. She didn't seem at all like she did in the book. But Edward was pretty great. Emmett was PERFECT! Just how I thought he would be. Jasper had amazing facial expressions and I think he was the cutest. But for some reason I thought Jacob was the cutest. Can't wait to see more of him next movie! Well, if they make a movie of the other books.
I disagree, I think Kristen played Bella perfectly. If you read the book, you'd understand that she did an amazing job.
Everyone SHOULD read Twilight before watching the movie.

I loved it, but I went into it pretty sure it was going to be an atrocious adaptation of one of my fave books. Because of that, Bella annoyed me less that I was sure she was going to, I remembered why I was Team Edward initially (though I still love Jake for myself xD), and how much I really do love Charlie.
I was surprised it was only two hours and I'm sad they didn't tack on another half hour. BUT THERE'S ALWAYS THE OTHER THREE!

I actually the movie, i've read all 4 books, and yes it wasn't the same but you do get the grasp of it. Some parts were a little cheesy like the biology scene lol but i still loved it lol
and YES it deffinitely had to have been longer!!! and they have to have at least 2 sequels because they had foreshadowing that was from the second book and another that was a bit of a mix of the second and third:)

Dont get me wrong, she was OK but that is because she looks the part but her voice is deep and her acting doesnt fit this type of movie. She is better fit in horror/ suspense. Re: SupreBecky – if i had to guess, it's because she WAY over acted in parts, ie. hospital scene. she was okay, but not great, robert on the other hand was SUPER creepy vampire stalker/ johnny depp feel. i loved him as edward though it seems TOTALLY different from the books Edward, but that's what made Rob so good at the part, he made it his own in a very creepy romantic way
Saw it last night and it was OK. The book was better. Bella & Edward had no chemistry what so ever and Robert Pattinson is a BAD actor. I think he was only hired for to be Eye Candy not an actor.

they left out some parts and added in some new parts, but i didn't care, it was the best!!!

Problem 1) They tried to keep it too short, so pivotal scenes were cut from the book (ex. the explanation that Bella's Lullaby was written FOR Bella BY Edward, the classroom blood draw scene, etc). Problem 2) They had a low budget to make the film, therefore, I felt like the quality of the special effects/movie-making wasn't as spectacular as it good of been. But now that it's already earned back what it cost to make, I'm sure the next film will have a much bigger budget. Problem 3) The additions to the movie (things that didn't happen in the book). I heard a lot of people saying "Where did this come from?" I think they would have been better off following the book to a T. What I did like: all of the acting, the modern-day references (Google…lol), the def. the studio scene! Also, I thought R Patt and K Stewart had great chemistry…I believed it. Overall, I really liked it and I am anxious to see what the next movie is like with the bigger budget and anticipation from fans!

She showed no real passion or love interested to Edward, and this movie is supposed to be all about their love. And were they serious with some of the facial expressions in the movie??? ie- every clip of Jasper, Edward in Bio the first time he met Bella, Edward's eyes/stare in every other scene of the movie???? And what was Kristen's deal in the scene where she's in the hosp. and Edward tells her to stay away from him… i didn't know Bella also suffered from terrets.
And Edwards amazing sparkling skin looked more like he was suffering from hyperhydrosis.
