The 'Recovered' Sex Addict Backs Down
Filed under: Legal Matters > David Duchovny
Why the change of heart????
David Duchovny has dropped a lawsuit he filed last month against the 'liars' at the UK's Daily Mail.
David flipped out when the paper reported that he cheated on wife Tea Leoni with a tennis instructor named Edit Pakay.
The 'former' sex fiend alleged defamation, invasion of privacy AND wanted $1 million in damages from the Mail.
Well, the complaint has jut been dropped "with prejudice," meaning it cannot be brought back again.
David's lawyer was not immediately available for comment on why his client was no longer pursuing the case.
The Mail must have had some gooood evidence to support their case!
Why didn't they share it with all of us?

Because we couldn't care less about this guy and his extra carricular activities Perez!
Because they published a denial few days ago
because not everyone is out to ruin a celebrities life Perez…
aww Perez, leave him and tea alone.
Wow, DD and Mel Gibson getting caught with their pants down. Dayamn!
because when suits are dropped w/prejudice, it means someone got paid off to keep their mouth shut!
He was so much hotter when he was Mulder!
The paper printed a retraction and apology a few days ago…
He didn't drop the case because the Mail had some good evidence in regards to this issue with Pakay. He dropped his lawsuit because the Daily Mail issued a retraction. Here is exactly what they printed:
"On October 19, an article about actor David Duchovny may have suggested he had an amorous relationship with a tennis coach, Edit Pakay.
We now accept this is inaccurate and Ms. Pakay and Mr. Duchovny are only friends who used to play tennis occasionally.
Their relationship went no further and was not a factor in Mr and Mrs Duchovny’s separation. We apologize to Ms. Pakay, Mr. Duchovny and to Mr. Duchovny's family".
David got what he wanted. A retraction. I wouldn't be surpised to learn that the Mail probably threw some coin his way as well. That's how these lawsuits work.
I'll bet he's thinking…who can I get to shove a cucumber up my ass?
Good morning, b. Just relaxing at home right now. Would love to take you to brunch on the beach today. Hope you're having a good weekend. Ymi 46
They had no proof. If they had any incriminating photos they would have printed them. He dropped it because they probably settled.
The dropped the suit because the daily mail issued a retraction.
He dropped the suit because daily mail issued a retraction.
when he made that cameo in SATC , didnt he play a sex addict, or was that another guy that carrie dated?
He dropped the lawsuit because the Daily Mail issued a retraction and an apology… leave him and Tea the fuck alone, plz.
Also, xfilesnews posted this first. You fail.
Perez Hates Me ^^
All I have to say is, man Duchovny's got a good lawyer!
be careful perez, the daily mail issued a retraction last week so they have acknowledged there was no truth in the story. You seem to be implying otherwise so you better print a retraction too unless you want your ass sued that is
Dumbass why do you not check facts.MAIL had to print a massive apology admitting they had lied blah blah blah……………………….
I think that they had no proof. If they had any incriminating photos they would have printed them. He dropped it because they probably settled.
