Still No Beatles Music Available For Download
Filed under: Music Minute > Legal Matters > Paul McCartney
On Monday, Sir Paul McCartney said that negotiations had stalled between the Beatles's holding company and EMI regarding digital downloads of their songs.
According to Paul, the Beatles have been pushing for a download deal, "but there are a couple of sticking points."
He suggested that EMI would not meet Apple Corp's terms, adding, "What else is new?"
So, until then, no music from the Beatles can be legally downloaded online.
Let's hope they get it resolved soon.
For the love of music!

Re: LettyB Thanks All Her Fans! – Yup…I have tons of Beatles music I downloaded! Fucking whiners! They need to stop acting like asswipes!
Yawn is right. All you have to do is subscribe to another music service like Rhapsody for a whopping $13 a month and then pay $45 for a music recorder and stream the music and record it. It downloads right into iTunes. And it's PERFECTLY LEGAL as long as you don't make copies of the music you record and hand it all out to your friends. The Beatles are on Rhapsody. They came up on my channel today and i said WTF i hate the beatles.
Re: DaisyMaysMummy – THANKS ARE YOU A NEW FAN OF MINE!!!
Yes you can : legalsounds.com It's overseas! If you're worried about giving your credit card, just use a paypal card.
Ironically the Beatles came up with the name Apple Records. Steve Jobs, a fan, rolled out Apple Computers.

.
GREEDY SOULLESS WHORY BEAST!!!
THEY HAVE TO WAIT FOR MICHAEL JACKSON'S PERMISSION.
AFTER ALL, HE DOES OWN THE BEATLES' TIRED MUSIC.
So, while Apple Corps and Macca are diddling around, millions of Beatles songs will continue to be downloaded illegally, and for free! Why do these dudes cut their noses off to spite their faces, and throw the baby out with the bathwater?
I can't wait until the day I can legally purchase their music on iTunes…
You can download all the Beatles music you want for free at Frostwire or Limewire.com
My family doesn't download music illegally. My children don't know any Beatles music because it doesn't exist in the formats they consume! They know the Stones (of course), Dylan, Hendrix, but not Beatles. Apple Corp and EMI are shooting themselves in the foot by letting a new generation grow up without hearing Beatles music. Same thing goes for Frank Zappa. One day, my children's children will hear the Stones. Will they hear the Beatles? I'm beginning to doubt it.
i love their music…..
Style your statement and create a musical blog on at www.uploaded.tv with your short portfolio.
lol ironically i just illegally downloaded 3 albums about tens mins ago.
Yeah well, put it this way. If you are a Beatles fan you would have bought the reissued CDs and copied them to your computer. If you have them you will have probably bought a gadget that converts LPs into MP3s and put them on your iPod instead of sitting around on your arse waiting for the ink to dry on a contract I don't think Macca will ever sign. But obviously, you lack some mental power to know these things.
Limewire = Viruswire.
Wow, how much money are they missing out on by not joining the digital music world? I would download almost all of their songs if they would ever release them online.
