Sad!!!!!! I hope that I face death with a quarter of that kind of courage.

    2. 102

oh my goodness. what a wonderful kid. he has such a wise soul. rest in peace

    3. 103

this is sad and all, but newsworthy? children die every day, and it is always sad. every innocent child wishes to feed the poor. it is misleading to title this video about one person making a difference–no one person made any difference. hundreds of people fed the homeless, not just one.

    4. 104

What a terrific boy. He is a real inspiration, a celebrity in the best, most honest and pure, sense of the word.

    5. 105

WOW! I am crying so hard. Heaven's gates will open for this child.

Re: mamajud – Good Morning Mama!!!

Re: fghjkl – They were inspired by one. That's the idea….You don't have to be so negative this early in the morning, do you? It's a sweet story, he was clearly a special kid. We all know there are other special kids, but what's wrong with giving props to this one???? Jeez.

    8. 108

BFD. We all have problems. Anyone ever wonder what he did that made god do this to him?

    9. 109

Thank you for that post!! I can't wait to share this with my students

Ahhh, this made me cry! I'm actually surprised, the comments here are a lot nicer than the ones on YouTube for once. Is Perez policing the comments on stories like this? I hope so.

Re: tetzy – I see what you're saying, but i gotta disagree with you on a few points. 1) yes - those charity organizations do good, but… for every dollar you donate 50% of it is going to go to cover their salaries and overhead costs… 2) if i give some needy person $ of course i would hope that they would use it to buy food or something to keep them warm… but if someone is so destitute as to be homesless and roam the streets begging for money, who am i to judge and say they can't use the spare change i give them to buy a bottle of alcohol or a hit of something, i may not approve or agree, but if it gives them some peace in their sad life then why do I care?

regardless of how you do it though, it's important we help those less fortunate then us. A lot of time it was their own fault due to drugs or alschocol or illigal activities, but a large percentage of the homeless population is their due to mental illness. It's shameful that we as a society don't take care of our own sick citizens and leave them to rot.

Bless you brendan and your beautiful soul. In this cold world of greed you spread a little warmth.

    17. 117

Maybe everyone should do something for him. Go out and get some wild flower seeds and plant them. It could be one last thing to do for such a great young man.

    18. 118

Even in his darkest hours he wanted to help people what amazing person hes a inspiration to us all~ RIP Breadan~

    26. 126

I believe it's self-less people like Brenden help change the world. I truly hope his legacy lives on.

Perez, I applaud you for posting stories like these.

      RIP Brenden.

    27. 127

Thank you for sharing this. What a wonderfully inspiring story. I only hope that I raise my children to be as kind-hearted and selfless as Brenden was.

On another note…WTF is WRONG w/ ppl on YouTube??? Some of the comments posted are horrendously disgusting.
