  20. 20

Take a lesson from down under. There is another route for success. If the goal is to be equal, don't worry about the route or what it is called.

  21. 21

It's only exciting for an ugly, bucked-tooth, hobbit-footed fag like you Perez.

  22. 22

    Re: ShakeYourkitty – no pictures!

  23. kaya says – reply to this

    23

So, why do you consider it 'exciting' in Australia and call the same idea here as 'hateful?'

  31. 31

I live in Australia and I disagree with the statement that we generally are free from discrimination. No marriage rights means no equality. And for all of you straight fucks who think we are just complaining for no reason: why don't you just go and get fucking married?

  32. 32

As an Aussie i have to this is a small win but a huge loss!!! The legislation opens up a whole can of worms. Gay marriage in Australia is of now of the table! period! I am so for the rights of other and this was was a way to get support but not to really give rights to all!!!!!!!!

  33. 33

ALL I SEE IS ”RULED OUT SAME SEX MARRIAGES”….SO WHATS THE EXCITING VICTORY PART? WHAT DID I MISS?
SOUNDS LIKE ”THE PEOPLE” HAVE SPOKEN EVEN THERE….LOL.

  34. 34

Re: gengarrules777 – That made no sense. And they gave Gays rights which I think is what Perez is excited about.

Maybe that is what they should do in california. I don't want the definition change. I do want everyone to have equal rights.

  35. 35

Re: aearly1 – Well it means nothing if we are not treated like the rest of the community. It's basically throwing us a bone and hoping we'll be happy without the rest of the carcass. I'm a person just like you and I deserve the same laws …

  36. 36

i may have been completely blind to it, but when same-sex marriage was legalised in the UK there was barely an opposition of it, none that came up on my radar anyway. all i remember is a lot of happiness for couples who now had the same rights.. and a lot of cheering for elton and david lol. i'm in a hetero marriage but couldn't imagine living in a society where people were treated differently.. not anymore anyway. Much love to the UK xxxx

  37. 37

Re: Mrs_Bathscum – That's right! It shouldn't be an issue. It's embaressing that it is though. I'm openly gay but I don't always think about it. So when I read about the laws that say I'm not allowed to get married, it makes me think about it in a really depressing way. They really are fucking with our heads. I think it all comes back to the church. Religion rules politics in the western world and it needs to be overturned.

  38. 38

Re: gengarrules777 – I totally get your point, and yes, it's not a total victory - but you've got to afmit, guaranteeing the same rights as me if I choose to live with my partner but not get married is a good compromise until the world finally gets it. I live in Melbourne, so I don;t know if my view is coloured because we are such a melting pot, but I think there was a lot of truth in that article re: very little opposition to the gay community. There are crackpots everywhere, but the kinds of sights in the streets of LA leading up to the election would not happen. Period. I think we're pretty lucky.

  39. 39

Re: LettyB Thanks All Her Fans! – Hey letty. whatsup

  40. 40

Re: Reneesouflee – Yeah we are lucky…but we're not equal

  41. 41

So they support Gay Rights but not Aboriginal Right??? At least they are moving forward in one way

  42. 42

    Cool.

    Australia

    Prison Camp

    Gay abode

why don't you move there Perez?

  43. Sgirl says – reply to this

    43

Why is that a victory for you Perez? They've ruled out same sex marriage. I don't get it? You make absolutely no sense. You should check your facts and try to have some conviction asshole!

  44. 44

I really don't see how this is a victory?
They are strongly reaffirming the ban on same sex marriage!

  45. embo says – reply to this

    45

Yet again, Melbourne is better than Sydney - HOORAH!!!

  46. 46

    yah for Australia

  47. 47

Re: Reneesouflee – He certainly doesn't have to "agree" to a lower status than you does he? No. I don't think so. Just move to a more progressive country, which would be almost anywhere except ultra religious countries (and yes, I include the US of Eh in that category). Shame on America for being such damn throw backs.

  48. 48

Re: embo – HA! True that, and I mention it to my family in Sydney on a regular basis. And to whoever mention aboriginal rights, Rudd coming into power and saying sorry was, again, a good place to start. Both of these things happened in Kev's (our Prime Minister for the yanks) first year. Not a bad start I say… Viva la left wing governments!

  49. Catty says – reply to this

    49

This is why I love Australia so much.
Sydney!, the capital of the world.

  50. 50

    Amazing….its truly interesting……
Style your statement like dis and create a musical blog at www.uploaded.tv with your short portfolio

  51. 51

hmmmm…it's OK i guess, but they are still saying marriage is one man & one woman. a place to start, definitely further along than we will be until we get back separation of church and state.

  52. 52

    disgusting!!!!

  53. 53

Re: Catty – Ewww! Gold Coast FTW! :)

  54. 54

Re: cindymindy – Who gives a fuck about the Aboriginies? They live in the middle of nowhere in the freaking bush. Giving them health care and shit like that won't do them any good. It will take them like 4 hours to get to a freaking hospital in the first place!

  55. 55

Re: Reneesouflee – Labour is the fucking worst party anyone could ever choose.

    Kevin Rudd Sucks Dick!

  56. 56

    Re: TheeDisneyWhore
