Cheat on Your Spouse in South Korea and You Could Go to Jail!

A South Korean actress named Ok So-ri admitted to an affair with a singer and now her husband is demanding that she be jailed.
The crazy thing is that there's a law in the country's book that could make hubby's wish a reality!
She could go to jail for up to two years!!
The actress has called for the law to be over turned but on Wednesday, prosecutors filed motions in support of her jilted husband.
Reuters reports that South Korea enacted its adultery law more than 50 years ago to protect women who had few rights in the male-dominated society.
But, critics say now it is a draconian measure no longer fit for a country with an advanced civil and family court system.
Hollywood must be so glad that California doesn't have South Korea-esque laws.
Half the town would be subject to jail time!

I respect the Bible and religion and God and what not…but not EVERYONE has to believe adultery is a sin. I think cheating is very, very wrong, but not everyone should have to abide by a law that's based on the word of God.
The Seventh Commandment is "Thou Shalt Not Commit Adultery". And should be strictly enforced in Hollywood. Offenders should be taken to the gate of the city and stoned. Entirely too much blaspheming and fornicating going on there. A state of rampant licentiousness and lasciviousness. Adults debauching the young. Shameful.

I wish America had laws like that!! People should not be able to steal your most valuable possession and then you can't even have them arrested! What crap! If someone stole my car or robbed my home I could press charges but if some slut entices my man away or breaks up my family there's nothing I can do about it? That very wrong!!!! People should be able to get justice when they've been wronged by someone. I've always felt it was very wrong for there to be laws to protect many rights and such in America but no laws to protect wives in such a situation. Only some states have the laws but most people don't know about them or use them. They should.

There are several states in the US with the same law including Mass, the laws were indeed set years ago to protect women, however, if pressed the police in the US may also prosecute, however, they rarely do. You can also sure the person your spouse slept with for damages and receive a cash settlement, I believe a guy in Chicago did that like 2 years ago and won against the guy his wife slept with.

I'm Korean. It's not just 'hubby's wish a reality'.
In fact, there are many horny dog hubbies go to jail for the very same reason. Of course, with their partner who they cheat their spouses with.
I don't totally agree with this law, but you can't judge this yourself.
Hubbies or wives can sue their spouse only if they want them to be punished.
You go and have affair but your spouse don't want to send you jail, then you get out of it.
The key is if you don't love your spouse anymore, do something else instead of go and have affair or hurt them so badly that make them want to punish you.
